Love this hotel. Beautiful pool room. And downtown so you can walk anywhere.

Had to change rooms due to long black hairs throughout the bathroom and one in my bedsheets. All clearly visible within seconds of entering the room. Not sure how a cleaning staff could sign off on a room for check in without vacuuming? Always a little surprised when a place like this gets away with charging $200 plus for a room, then gets called out for a dirty room and not so much as a discount for the trouble. $50 off? Nothing? The level of standards in the hotel industry continues to trend in the wrong direction.

Some aspects of the hotel are starting to show their age. However, the hotel is generally clean and the people working were very nice and informative.

Delightful place right downtown within walking distance of so much! Our room was lovely, bed was average (only slight negative is that it could be updated for more mattress comfort) and everyone in the lobby is friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced parking at $15 per night.

One of the shower heads was broken and we had found something left behind by an old guest so the cleanliness could have been better. Staff was great and welcoming

I'm happy to recommend this hotel. I liked everything about it. Important exception: some of the concierges need additional training in client service. I read the hotel booklet on amenities. It listed what was nearby without saying exactly where. I asked one concierge where the listed drugstore was, and was told "I don't know", as if that was a sufficient answer. It's not. I said "but you work here", and was told "but I don't like hanging around after work". Not helpful! If it's in the hotel booklet, the concierge should know where it is. If you don't know, find out. Look it up. Ask someone. I asked another concierge if the light rail stopped nearby and could take me to the airport. Concierge said "I think so, but I don't know. But you could look it up online." Concierge, you could also look it up online, on the computer right in front of you! This is your job! Help your customer get to the airport! Know the closest stop. Have a map you can show. Have a copy of the schedule. I wound up Ubering, for probably ten times the cost of the light rail. The concierge is not paid just to hand out room keys. They are vital to the hotel experience.

Good location and walking distance to the Twins baseball game. Will book again next time around town.

The room was clean, had everything microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker, the shuttle service to Target Field was convenient. Patrick was awesome he was the driver and front desk assistant, he loves his job and he was very kind. The staff im general were all good and a joy to work with. I will stay there again next time I'm in Minneapolis

Staff was great!

We enjoy this hotel and its location to downtown. It was very busy so there was a lot of trash and dirty laundry around that maybe could have been picked up sooner. We really enjoy using a sauna. They have a great sauna room but the sauna heating element does not work as well as it should. It barely gets to 100 degrees. The unit needs to be replaced.

Always have stayed at the Normandy. Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff for over 20 years I’ve gone.

The front desk lady was very helpful and the property was very clean.
-
The room was large, clean, and well furnished. The hotel is downtown, almost a straight shot from the airport by public transportation. There are two light rail lines close by as well as numerous buses going all over the Twin Cities. The only drawback is that there are no stores or restaurants nearby.

Nice staff

All good. Great stay. Great location
-
This is my favorite place to stay in the cities. I’ve stayed here maybe 20 times in the last 12 years and every stay was wonderful. This will always be my first choice when coming to Minneapolis!
-
I was charmed by this hotel. Nice staff, clean rooms, super inexpensive parking. I will be back.
-
I love the location of this hotel and that it has a hot tub and pool. There are not a lot of hotels downtown with a hot tub so I always love to stay here. It is a slightly further walk to the target center and the surrounding bars, but it’s definitely still manageable! And the hotel is so charming! I love how it’s decorated!
-
Staff lowkey buggin and the wifi/tv streaming situation is cringe but besides that pretty tight and good beds. Sucks they had no breakfast but that’s my bad I should have checked. The pool was amazing tho

The staff were very patient with it being a busy check in day due to the event that night. We weren't sure if there was breakfast provided but there is a restaurant attached so we went in there for breakfast. Our meal was excellent and the waiter we had was very funny. That helped the experience for us. Our room was on the 3rd floor and the pool is in the middle of the hotel. Instead of looking out to the street or parking lot it was the pool. When we first walked into our room it smelt of chlorine. It wasn't terrible but not something you want to be smelling if you're hoping to sleep in the room. When we left our room the AC was on and when we came back after our event in the city our room was at 76 degrees because the heat kicked on vs the 68 we had it set to when we left. That made it uncomfortable falling asleep.
