Residence Inn Palo Alto Menlo Park

We arranged the hotel through Expedia and paid them for the stay. We thought breakfast was complimentary but perhaps we misunderstood since a charge of $46.65 was applied to my credit card that I did not see until after we left. We got breakfast on Monday before we left but that was our only breakfst day.. We did get a soft drink and snacks that was charged to our room but that should not explain the full charge, Can you provide a detailed statement for the $46.65? That surprise was the only negative.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Full complimentary breakfast, delicious menu options. The only inconvenience was staying in a room near the railroad tracks. We got used to the train horn after a while.

Our room was spacious with full kitchen and sitting area. Bathroom was large and modern. Overall, the room appeared to have been recently updated. Breakfast service was very good.

We were staying above four dumpsters that were emptied at 5 am, right on a commuter train railway which ran (honking) until 12:45 am, resuming at 5 am. And when we arrived, the wing was being renovated—door cracked open to help with awful outgassing. That room was not ready for guests. We were there to be in place for a surgery at Stanford. This was just a terrible experience.
