Studio 6 Suites Memphis, TN – East Memphis

Non-smoking room had heavy cigarette and cigar smell. Dirt from the construction was everywhere in the room. Doors had rusted and broken hinges, mould along the tub edges and water had some bad smell. Sheets were thin and blankets had cigerette burnt holes. Took pictures of the above to present the room condition to Expedia. Night clerk said no other rooms to move to, but Expedia site was saying one room left.

Spacious rooms and comfortable bed. Full-size refrigerator and a microwave was a major +. No smart TV so stuck with basic cable and infomercials late at night. Had roaches in my room. No charger ports available in the room so if u dont have a wall charger u are S.O.L.! They updated the outside of the building with new paint job and completely remodeled the lobby but neglected the rest of the hotel. And they choose to be strict about not having guests and watching people as they go in and out their rooms. If it wasn't for the spacious rooms I wouldn't stay there. Rooms are not so soundproof either. Until the hotel is fully updated, not just the lobby, the price need to be lower and on top of that I didnt have an iron & ironing board in my room.

They asked for a $50 cash deposit for room damages. Wouldn’t accept it on a card. This was much more roadside motel then the website described. It did not feel safe or secure and was a lot of red flag.

Price, big room Room had a couch that was so gross they should have burnt it along time ago. The walls were dirty looked like someone hadn’t cleaned the room properly…

The only good thing was the air conditioning

The owner and staff were very friendly and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay better. The owner personally showed us two different rooms to help accommodate us. The rooms themselves were clean, which we appreciated. One of the rooms had a very strong unpleasant odor, and the hallways were under construction during our stay. There was also a strong marijuana smell throughout the property and parking areas, similar to other Motel 6/Studio 6 locations we visited.

It was in Memphis It was rundown and the room was dirty. Not in a very good area.

Terrible property. Rug in hallway way ripped back to expose water/mold? damage. The smell in the room was of harsh chemicals that were presumably to fight something even more foul. When we returned from dinner to use the room, we had to wait until the 5 police cars with their lights all going vacated the lot. After all of this, the attendant behind the glass wall informed us that our whole reservation (4 days) was going to be charged to our card and there was nothing that he could do to cancel the remainder of our stay. Needless to stay we left the next morning and found acceptable lodging well away from the area.

Location was great! Staff don’t speak English, they will not let you refuse room service. I work a job that requires me to be at work at 8pm and work until 6am. So by the time I got back the hotel at 7 or 8am I would go to sleep! Then between 10am and 11am they would knock incessantly until I was dragged out of bed to open the door and tell them to please let me sleep, only to find out none of them speak English. So, they go get the boss and he comes to the room door knocking again at 12pm… I confronted this dude with a lot of attitude, because I had already asked the workers to please not bother me I work nights!! All they could say was,”OK, ok” not really understand anything I politely talked to them about. So, now the Boss guy is at my door and we are arguing about them leaving me alone and letting us sleep in the room I paid for!! Dude threatened to charge me extra if anything got damaged in the room. He literally would not let me go back to sleep and argued about me not letting them into clean the room, to the point I was getting dressed and fixing to leave the place and demand a refund because they would not let me sleep during the time I had available for me to sleep! At the end he did calm down and they stopped knocking on my door, but I still had to get up by 1pm for them to come in and clean. I would not recommend this place to anyone working night shift or anyone that likes to sleep the mornings away without being bothered…. Location

It was horrible The horrible smell in the hallway. The disgusting stains on walls on sink. There was no ice machine or vending machine.

The floor was sticky like they reused the mop water multiple times, when you go check in, than you are told that you have to leave a $50 deposit and if you don't have cash then you have to use their ATM machine with a.n added fee. Asked a police officer who I saw at the gas station next door about the neighborhood and was informed it's a high drug and crime area. My gf couldn't sleep well because of worrying. Save yourself anxiety and fear and book somewhere else. Booking.com shouldn't have this hotel on their site.

The fact that did not have a ironing board or iron in my room. They had no phone service in my room at all. What if I had a heart attack or etc. My f as daughter called the front desk for them to do a wellness check on me.never

I will say the vending machines onsite and extra lighting over parking lot. Also the furniture and the idea of new property. Under renovation and the atmosphere isn't pleasing. I do commend the property on extra lighting towards parking lot and vending machines onsite. It just an old creepy hotel and needs remodeling and staff that isn't creepy.. The couch in the room is old and unsanitary just below average rating.

It was honestly better than anticipated. We were comfortable and enjoyed the stay along with the full size fridge and microwave. The cable was decent a little fuzzy but quality channels. I also love the fact that they surveillance cameras. Bathroom could have been cleaner I was also a little worried someone wld break in my car but no one did

The room was clean.The room was well prepared for my stay.Parking lot was my only issue had a lot of potholes.Other than that, it was very good.Stay for the money The only problem I had was the big potholes in the parking lot
