Showers, bathroom sinks and toilet on the dormitory level were dirty.

The staff were very kind and it was very helpful and easy to park my bicycle at the front. I enjoyed spending time in the lobby area. Lastly, the hotel is in. Great location considering that Dogo onsen and markets are a few feet away. Lots to do, see, eat, etc. The toilet areas, showers and sleeping areas were pretty dirty. Lots of old grime and flies in the showers. The mattress I slept on before putting the sheets on had lots of old stains and the area I slept in was a bit dusty.

Good price and location. Friendly staff. Hard bed, showers could be cleaner but not terrible.

Only location is good, near Dogo Onsen It was not clean (dust & mold). Thin sleeping pad directly on the floor = zero sleep & breathing in dust. The pod light was not dimmable, unlike every other place. Zero sound proofing. No security, The door lock was a joke, like a closet lock that you can force open. No kitchenette, no water dispenser, Mold in shower & bathroom sink, Frankly, the con list is long & clearly, they went cheap on everything! I will never stay again! It was just gross & I've never experienced such a thing in Japan. I wonder are the owners/operators actually Japanese or is this.yet another foreign business riding Japan's tourism boom?!?!

Fantastic location and great value

Expensive for the facilities No air conditioning in the corridors, etc Smell..in front of the entrance

- Great value! Huge room that would have fit three futons and a table, plus private toilet and sink, for 4100 yen a night - Both my room and the common spaces were very clean and had no noticeable smell - Futon, pillow and blanket were very soft and comfortable - Was useful to have the lobby as a communal space to work etc. - Right next to all three onsens so I could go bathe and walk back without feeling dirty again - The staff were smiley and made very, very sure I knew how to use the TV in my room - I felt as though they nickel-and-dimed me for a lot of things (e.g. take-out shampoo, conditioner and body wash set was 100 yen, bath towel was 100 yen) - Particularly annoying was the fact that they didn't provide hand wash in my room - I don't think they should be encouraging just rinsing your hands without soap after showering - The vending machine was broken during my stay - I would have appreciated the ability to buy cold drinks in the heat/after a bath - Small thing, but I found it odd that the TV doesn't come with a remote - don't they come with one each? Or are they afraid that I'll steal the batteries inside? - Another small thing - after I hung my clothes up by the window to dry, they smelled like cigarette smoke for a bit (someone must have been smoking downstairs)

No English speaking staff, no common kitchen area

Good location, very close to Dogo onsen and surrounding shops etc. Bed was decently comfortable, and I never felt like I was fighting for the bathroom or showers. It was a bit dusty in the dorm room I stayed in. The showers were also quite dirty, with mould buildup visible. The bath mats didn’t seem too clean either. Noise also travels, and the bunks aren’t particularly soundproof. I was often woken up by others in the mornings. Given the price however, I’m satisfied with my stay.

It’s very close to Dogo onsen They don’t have elevators. Very noisy with lots of students. You need to prepare sheets and pillow covers yourself.
-
Location, cleanliness, size of capsule/private room.
-
Spacious cabin style bunks, modern bathroom facilities, amazing location for pilgrims and onsen, great price. The wifi is patchy from the dormitory.
-
Dirt cheap, minutes from Dogo Onsen on foot. If you travel to Matsuyama just for the Onsen and is on the move the next day this is a very good place to enjoy the bath. I was told to put my bicycle in front of the main entrance, but there was some funny smell there - it needed some deep cleaning. Its also the designated smoking area. At least I can haul most of my gear to my bed.
-
The wifi doesn’t work in the rooms, especially on the upper floors. The only common space is the reception area with a loud TV. The walls are paper thin and there was a very noisy family staying next to us. The room was clean and had AC. Self service sheets/linens.
-
Amazing location! 3 minute walk from dogo onsen and it’s high up the mountain so beautiful views aren’t far either. Very sweet staff. A little dusty but that doesn’t really bug me.
-
The Japanese style room for two was nice. Very kind staff and great location.
-
No toilet for women only You have to do the beddings even you’re tired from your trip it’s a lot of hassle
-
Very average hotel, especially for the price. The walls are very thin and some guests were very loud at midnight, which woke me up. My room on the top floor was very dark and didn’t have wifi, also no soap was provided in the room’s sink. The bed is not prepared, and you have to make it yourself, fetching the futons from the closet and putting the sheets on.

The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of all the attractions we wanted to enjoy. After picking up my daughter from Matsuyama Airport, we parked our rental car across from the hotel for the first night, then moved it to the city’s free parking spots for the next two days. We didn't use the car again until we departed, choosing to explore Dogo on foot, soak in the onsen, and savor delicious regional food. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. When one of their washing machines malfunctioned and ate our coins, they refunded the money so we could complete our laundry. We enjoyed sleeping on futons to experience the traditional Japanese style. If you are looking for a clean, reasonable accommodation so you can use the extra money for gorgeous sets of Ehime food, such as Tai meshi, this place is it. We will come back again! None
