The Modernist Hotel has been one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. It was very clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I love the room I had as well-it was aesthetically pleasing. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to my my friends and family and I look forward to hopefully booking again!

The rooms at this property were lovely. I was in a balcony room and enjoyed the light in the opportunity to open the door and get some fresh air. I’m a fan of flooring at this point in hotel room so that was definitely a major plus for me. I enjoyed the colors and the decor. I especially liked having a kitchenette and a small table to eat meals at my room was also extremely clean. The location is probably one of the only things that presented an issue, but there is public transportation nearby so I was able to navigate it. Just a tiny thing was the glass brick wall. I enjoyed it because it allowed more light into the space which was amazing my only thing about it was that in the morning it just was super bright.

Everything was perfect except for the blackout system in the room.

The staff was accommodating to hold our bags before and after check in and check out. They cleaned our room nicely after the first day. They provided various amenities including an extra set of bedding, toiletries, silverware, dining set, ice, and water with fruit. Overall, nice stay for two nights.

Work trip in LIC. Great location with ease of in-and-out.

2bed room well appointed and big. Bathroom was roomy. Lobby was inviting. The art room in back was spacious and quiet. Very clean and well kept. Good selection of food, coffee close. MTA/Queens plaza was 5 block walk. I will definitely revisit The Modernist on my next visit. Neighborhood is walkable, quiet and safe. Very pleasant.

One of the best places I've stayed at! Breathtaking views, quiet, clean, and very large space. Receptionist was the who recommended the penthouse and my goodness I am so happy she did!! The staff there is super sweet! Love love love this place! Looking forward to staying in the penthouse again in the near future!

Loved the size of the room! Like having our own apartment.

The room was enormous and clean, it was a nice stay and the balcony view was beautiful.

I ended up needing an emergency appendectomy and they were very helpful in managing my belongings and management was extremely kind to remove the room charge for that day. I very much appreciated the kindness and help they extended. Can say enough good things about The Modernist!

Very good

The location is amazing. Just two blocks from the subway. The room was very spaceous and clean. The hotel was VERY friendly to our dog that came along as part of our relocation to NYC. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly, polite and helpful. The room has a kitchenette but when we arrived there were no basic items that one needs on their first day after a long flight: small detergent, sponge, paper towel and such. We were forced to rush to alocal supermarket to obtain them.

Great coffee. Great staff.

What a lovely property! I’ll stay here every time I come to New York moving forward.
