Restaurant and bar in house. Friendly and helpful staff I would stay here again

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the feeling was that it was more rustic as there is usually a lot of rain and the area around the hotel was more gravel and at the room window the weeds are a bit overgrown. Our room was downstairs from the lobby and although there was an elevator it didn't go down to the lower floor and with heavy bags this was a bit much. I did get help when we were leaving to haul my bags upstairs and that was a blessing! I also noticed a fairly strong aroma of pesticide in the stairwell. At breakfast the food was good but the wait staff was quite slow and inattentive. The bar closed about 9:00 pm which seemed a bit early for a bar.

Windows did not have screens, I needed to open windows as it was hot and stuffy but bugs kept coming in. Staff was mediocre.

I know Juneau can be pricey so I booked the most reasonable room at $280 plus tax. It was on the first floor, which truly isn’t the first floor. It’s almost like a half basement a bit below the ground level. My room was underneath the deck of the restaurant and was a little claustrophobic. So fine for one night, but not the most ideal aesthetically. Also, there’s not much they can do about it but the road outside could be a bit noisy. But the staff very nice.

Location of the hotel was great. Desk staff were very nice but always seemed disorganized.
-
Big room, great restaurant and good location.
-
Staff was great. Hotel is way overpriced and dated. I would only stay here again if it was the last one available.
-
No air conditioning. Extremely hot in the room. All they had was a fan. TV didn’t work. Not worth the money spent
-
Older property, needs work. Toilet had to be turned off due to running constantly. Never did get the TV to work. Clean. Bar was excellent. Very convenient for local history and meeting our boat.
-
Parking was easy. Lots of shops nearby
-
Rooms are very clean. Staff is amazing!
-
Facility in need of a remodel.
-
NO AC and NO cross ventilation and a Noisy fan made us roast in 75 degree weather. A good fan could have made our stay better. Poor allocation of resources.
-
No hot water.
-
The water in the shower did not get hot in the mornings and the tub did not drain well so there was a few inches of water in it while taking a shower.
-
I need to get a refund, I paid for the insurance. The room wasn't available.
-
No water on second morning. Apparently a pipe froze. Still waiting for a discount or points, refund?
-
First got room very cold no heat front desk brought extra heater
-
Did not have breakfast. Staff very rude and condescending. Floor floor in kitchen area sticky.
-
Location Expensive for a shabby looking property
