Hyatt Place Indianapolis Downtown

Great location!

It was the nicest hotel I have stayed at in a long time!! We had a room with a city view and it was awesome! We didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice! Breakfast was delicious and many options. Front desk lady was very helpful.

Check in was a breeze & our room was clean. Their sign in the room said to expect housekeeping to come every other day. When the second day came we threw our towels on the floor thinking that when we came back in the afternoon, all will be refreshed. Even when we left the hotel that morning, we went by the front desk to make sure that someone would be coming by. Sadly, they did not during the 5 hrs we were at our conference. We told FD that HK never came to collect trash & bring us clean towels. FD got a hold of them & we were definitely expecting them to come by while we were out again for the late afternoon & evening. We came back tired around 10 and still no sign of HK! After another visit to the FD, HK finally showed up just to drop off the towels but no trash pickup. Another issue --the cold water pressure was very weak in the shower & sink. They sent someone to check it out but he couldn't fix it & told us that the mgr would call us to offer comp. for the inconvenience. I was hoping to get the $50 discount on our stay since we had to deal with it for 3 days however, cuz we went through Expedia, & not them directly, they couldn't. He supposedly reached out to Expedia to start the process, but he couldn't guarantee that Expedia would actually turn around & give the compensation back to me. The mgr said this has happened before where they gave Expedia the compensation to pass on to the customer, but Expedia turned around to the customer & told them they never received it.

Everything went well - no issues.

Breakfast was jammed and there was no food. They were out of virtually everything. This hotel makes a lot of money from Fever home games. When those games occur, the hotel needs to plan ahead and have more food and possibly even extend the breakfast time to 10 am like on a weekend. There was no bread, no eggs, no pancakes or French toast, no fruit. Parking was convenient and easy.

The rate vs the quality does not make sense.

Second, the hotel didn't have the expected extra restaurants or other things that they have advertised. Third, they did not have a microwave in the room and you had to go down to heat up any food or popcorn, etc. I thought this was included in my room. As far as the staff, they did their best, very friendly, and understanding. The one restaurant they did have was clean, the food great, and the breakfast free and very good. The floor on the main floor was sticky, dirty, but I really think that was just that one day. I did feel safe in the area, I saw police everywhere. Especially during the day. The room itself was clean, the temperature comfortable, the windows had black out shades that helped cut the noise from the car parking deck that was beside the window. No beautiful sight to look at from the windows...but I guess that is how it is there. Would I stay there again? I don't think so. 🤔. I just wish I could have had a good veiw of the city 😪. In my opinion, if you advertise something, you should stand up to the expectations for your business. This was a great letdown. I misunderstood the location, but everything else was still lacking.

This hotel is very good. Everything is clean. The staff were eager to help. The free breakfast wasn’t stellar but it was better than most free hotel breakfast. No complaints!

Loved the balcony view Being directly in the city

We were in town for a conference at the convention center and the hotel location is convenient. It was a 7-10 min walk. The area seemed fairly safe but would recommend female visitors walk in group of 2 or more. There are many homeless near the convention center area and in the evenings people coming to the area for entertainment become very loud and rowdy. The hotel staff in the breakfast area were very sweet and accommodating! However, housekeeping seemed disorganized, forgetting to service our room, forgotten delivery of towels that were requested, etc. Maybe they are short staffed? The front desk kept saying they were "very busy" and didn't seem to know how to handle these issues so we ended up borrowing supplies (towels, tissue paper) from a friend staying in another room.

Convenient to everything.

Biggest complaint is out of the hotel's control...its so loud! Lots of stret car racing from 11pm -2 or 3am. EVERYDAY! Cars going by with music so loud at 2am that I thought there was a concert across the street.

The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and bountiful!

This hotel is great! Location is great, parking is easy, safety is evident, breakfast was amazing and the staff were incredible! Will definitely stay here again!
