Breakfast was delicious

We stayed at this Holiday Inn because of its location and price point. However, I would probably not stay here again. The staff are very nice and helpful, but the rooms are not well maintained. They’re old, smelly, and not clean. Our room smelled like mold, while our friend’s room just smelled weird and had curtains that wouldn’t close all the way. We left too early in the morning and didn’t get to use any amenities at the property. If you’re looking for a convenient location near the airport and don’t mind a mediocre room, this might be an option for you. Otherwise, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Property needs attention

Good location. Close to airport and price was fine but rooms need a lot of TLC. Bottom panel of bathroom door was all rotted and painted over, bathroom fan not working Etc. We only stayed for one night so didn't make a big to do about it but property definitely needs some attention.

The waitress at the bar/restaurant was super & the food was plentiful & really good! We were surprised at such hospitality! But it’s Indiana- lots of NICE people!! The only negative was the high price of the room. But we got a free shuttle & also got to park our car there for the weekend. We’d stay there again if we’re flying out of Indianapolis- rather than Chicago with all the traffic & tolls & long walks.

Really. disappointed with this hotel. Overall. false advertisement. It says close to airport- it's not! It's 20-25 min away. The website states there is 24/7 airport shuttle- there isn't! I purposely selected this hotel due to the shuttle option because I was traveling with my elderly mother and we were landing at 1am. Apparently, the shuttle doesn't run from 1-3am, but that isn't what is stated. Had to get an Uber, which was an extra cost. The hotel rooms smelled like old dingy cigarettes. Carpet was gross. Beds were comfy and good bedding. But other than that. very disappointed and upsetting. Breakfast was very minimal with options.

AC unit was defective, it had an annoying noise.

Check in was less desirable. We arrived 30 minute early and the gentleman was abrupt and rude saying nothing available until 3 pm. He was at the door and didn’t even attempt to look. Came back and hour later and check in took 25 minutes however the woman was friendly and appeared to be working solo. Our room smelled like cigarette smoke however we didn’t notice it until we arrived back from our event as we had to hurry out quickly after checkin. It was after midnight so we waited to tell them until the next morning. The lady at checkout did say she would investigate but then also asked was it you guys smoking. Why would I complain if it was us. We are definitely non smokers. Otherwise the hotel was clean and quiet.

Be aware, if you book the meal package they try to charge you again for dinner. Breakfast is not included unless you pay and that’s not advertised well. This I think is a hotels.com flaw not the hotel itself. The bar tender we had was amazing I wish I had her name to thank her. Theres also only one small eatery it’s not gourmet by any means. The room ot self was clean with comfy beds but this listing is very misleading.

Nice staff, said there is a restaurant but it is never fully staffed. Had to walk to a nearby hotel for dinner.

However, the property is in need of renovations. The bathroom was quite small, and the hotel felt dated in several areas. While the stay was adequate, it did not meet my expectations overall. For those reasons, I do not believe I would choose to stay here again.

Exceptional

The outside was very clean , common areas weren’t bad but the staff was on a personal phone call with the company phone their entire shift Friday and Saturday. Our first room smelled moldy and the fridge didn’t work. We got switched to another room and the bath fan didn’t work , the shower pan leaked and our room keys had to be replaced two times. The elevators safety inspection both were expired by 13 months and the elevators would stop in between floors or not move at all. After contacting hotel about the experience they did not respond. Will not be returning and would like my money back.

Small complimentary snacks or little bottles of water would be nice for guests when they check in. Some travel from quite a distance
