Best Western Plus Huntersville Inn & Suites Near Lake Norman

We arrived around 9:30 pm after driving 15 hours, unloaded everything just to find out the a/c didn’t work in our room. We had to switch rooms, which meant loading and u loading again. The staff was not helpful. The pool was closed. The first room we had was dirty with toilet paper on the floor. It was a terrible experience.

Good location, breakfast was ok Noisy AC

I asked for a luggage cart when I arrived because I had multiple bags. I was told they only had one and hadn't seen it in many days. The day I checked into the hotel it was 105 heat index. Got in my room and it was extremely hot and air conditioner was not changing the temp. I called the desk and no answer so now I had to go down again to front desk. They came up and also acknowledged air wasn't working. I was told to give a few minutes and they would check other rooms. At least 15 minutes of me sitting in this sauna of a room they came back and said they were moving me to another room. Now I had to again go back downstairs, into the heat, to my car and get the rest of my stuff that I couldn't bring up the first time. I chose this hotel b/c it offered breakfast at 6am which worked perfectly with my work schedule. My first morning after arriving I went down around 6:30 and there was no breakfast. I asked person at desk and was told the person who does it hadn't shown up yet. I went back down again before leaving for work at 7 and still nothing at which time I encountered another guest who told me they had been there 3 days and there hadn't been any breakfast. It was not a pleasant experience and I will not stay at that hotel again in the future.

Room was clean and good enough. Pool was open but I didn’t use it. Gym was horrible. My only complaint would be this is the worst hotel gym I’ve ever seen. If this amenity is important to you then I wouldn’t recommend

Disappointing

Left 1 day earlier than the reservation but they refused to reimburse me for the last day saying because it was booked through a third party they refused to reimburse me.

Good enough. Not top tier, but good price.

The property looked nice and in a nice area The ac unit was set at 60;by the staff but the room was like 78-80 meaning the ac unit wasn’t working properly. The both beds were horrible meaning the mattresses were completely shot and very lumpy with a pad to attempt to make them better. No chance they are trash. Now upon check in they asked for a $100 security or damage deposit. I only had 75.oo cash and they accepted that instead of a CC. I received a written receipt showing $75.00. Upon check out I only received back $55.00 the morning clerk ripped me off. He was dressed like a homeless person and handed my money folded up. I should have counted it there but who would have thought a clerk would steal. I stay at a lot of best western plus hotels but this was like a bad motel 6.

Exceptional

Paper thin walls led to us listening to a couple threaten to hit each other until 3 in the morning. We almost had to call the cops. Hotel staff wasn’t much help but tried. We left our reservation one night early as the hotel was sold out because of a race so they couldn’t move our room. I messaged the hotel through the hotels.com app and they never got back to me so either they didn’t care or they don’t check their messages through the app. Disappointing stay. Don’t stay in hotels in this area during a race weekend unless you want to deal with some very colorful characters.

The rooms are dark. Bathroom is small and the drain in the shower was clogged.
