Staybridge Suites Houston Downtown by IHG

Arrived at 4:00 p.m., as we know check-in is at 4:00. Was informed that no rooms were available and we would have to wait. No wait time given because they didn't know when a room would be available. We had Astros game to go to and wanted to be there by 4:30 because they were giving away Carlos Correa bobbleheads and our two grand daughters wanted one. This was their first Astros game and were really excited. We didn't get to freshen and change to make it to Daikin park as early as we wanted. We didn't get the bobbleheads and we didn't have a room. I received a text around 6:30 p.m. that our room was ready. Of course we are at the game, so now we also messed our plans of taking the girls swimming in the pool because we had to check-in, get our luggage that was somewhere in a hopefully secure area. But that took time, so girls didn't get to go swimming. Family of four and only 2 bath towels, the other towels are wash cloths and hand towels. Not a happy weekend for us.

Good location for us. Breakfast was good; room was comfortable and clean; parking is limited to valet otherwise you have to drive to a lot in a different location.

Perfect place to stay for a short walk to watch the Astros. My kids appreciated the sofa in the bedroom so they didn’t have to share a bed. One of the better hotel stays I’ve had recently. Parking was expensive, but that was to be expected. We will definitely be back to stay at this property.

This hotel is brand new. Breakfast was great! There were plenty of options available for breakfast. Weekend bartender was great and great Customer Service. They have specials for food and beveages. Nighttime hotel Manager made sure to check on all guests and made sure they were doing okay. He was also very personable. Room and hotel stayed clean. Parking available at the hotel. Friendly staff. No complaints.
