The Prospect Hollywood
About The Prospect Hollywood
The Prospect Hollywood is an elegant 1939 Hollywood Regency style building in the neighborhood of Whitley Heights. As the home for stars like Rudolph Valentino/Jean Harlow and James Dean. The neighborhood has become symbolic as the birthplace of what is now Hollywood. It continues to be one of the primary creative and cultural hubs in Los Angeles. The Prospect Hollywood has undergone a transformative restoration while paying homage to the history and authenticity inherent in the architecture and neighborhood. Reimagined by PRG Hospitality Group in collaboration with designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard the hotel has been updated with a sophisticated sensibility while incorporating the glamour of the era. Using custom and vintage furnishings the Prospect presents each guest with a distinct experience.

If you are planning a trip to Los Angeles, look no further. The Prospect Hollywood is, without a doubt, one of the best places I have ever stayed. Period. In LA Finding this place felt like discovering an emerald in the middle of Hollywood. The staff here is incredible, and I have to give a special shout-out to Kim, Joclyn, and Key/Luis, who were all such amazing hosts and truly made our stay unforgettable. The room was nothing short of unbelievable—beautifully appointed, comfortable, and full of character. The location is perfect, situated just steps away from the El Capitan Theatre and a short distance from the iconic Hollywood Bowl. For any fellow movie buffs, this hotel is a dream come true; each room is uniquely named after a legendary movie star, which adds such a fantastic, thematic touch to the entire experience. Whether you are in town for a show or just looking to experience a truly special side of Hollywood, this is a must-stay. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Kim at the desk is wonderful.

The property is a little gem in the middle of Hollywood. The courtyard is great for night or morning time, but the rooms are great. We have stayed in the room with the claw tub and kitchenette sitting area and we loved it. Can’t say enough good things about the staff. Kim providing some next level service for a vey intimate and quaint stay in Hollywood.

We had a wonderful stay at The Prospect. Kiki and Kim went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. We will return again soon.

Absolutely lovely oasis of a hotel within walking distance to the Hollywood Bowl. Would absolutely stay here again.

I travel extensively and this is one of the BEST experiences in a hotel I have had. The staff, housekeeping, outdoor area, decor of each room, everything was perfect! I loved my room and loved the care and attentiveness of the staff. I will definitely plan on another trip to LA just to stay at the Prospect hotel again!

Front desk staff is super helpful and friendly. Beautiful rooms and relaxing courtyard.

Came here for our anniversary. This place is a 10. From the amazing staff to the beautiful well appointed rooms the fantastic 12 o’clock standard checkout. The bed was absolutely delicious. We stayed in the Omar Sharif Room. I highly recommend it. Amazing value. And it’s close to all the fun. We will truly always make it a part of our relationship to come back here.

The Prospect exceeded every expectation. I was blown away by the level of service. The lovely woman who worked at the front desk was so incredibly kind and helpful. She parked my car, unloaded my bags, made local suggestions, and even let me check in a bit early (I had just arrived from overseas, so I was very grateful to be able to shower!). The Greta Garbo room is amazing. Loved the interior design and the finishes, but the breakfast room, the hidden bar, and the claw foot tub were really special. The courtyard and its fire pits felt so private and peaceful. I will certainly be staying here again.

Loved Hotel Prospect! The recent remodel was done with intention. Well done and unique. The room was beautiful, the location is quiet, safe, and walkable, and the staff is wonderful. Will be back, thanks!!

A hidden gem of a boutique hotel in Hollywood. Great location and amazingly comfortable rooms. The staff is always attentive and friendly. Our favorite for a staycation. Always look forward to staying here.

Only disappointment was a bizarre 4:30 PM arrival experience in which the frontdoor was locked with no one answering doorbell for 10 min until a cleaning person did so. Made for a very poor welcome, and exacerbated by a male front desk clerk whom seemed non-plussed by our inconvenience. Thankfully night and morning clerks were very engaged, helpful and kind. Hint: rooms can be small so spend a little more for the Grand rooms.

The hotel is beautiful and incredibly unique. The staff genuinely wanted to be helpful and you can tell they love the hotel too. The room was really comfortable and thoughtfully designed. Really cool, old time, glamorous Hollywood vibe. The courtyard is an oasis. Can’t say enough great things. I don’t even like L.A. that much but I’d come back to stay at the Prospect. Special place..

Wife and I would recommend and love to return.
