Courtyard by Marriott Charlotte Gastonia

Great location! When we arrived, check in was fast but when we got up to our room, our key didn’t work which resulted in us going back downstairs with our luggage & having to wait 30 minutes for other guests to check in just to get a new key! Once we received the new key, that one didn’t work either!!!! We went downstairs ONCE AGAIN with our bags & let the staff know which was only 1 person at the time. He came upstairs with us & let us know that the battery died on the door & he got the wrong screwdriver!!! He went downstairs to get it which took 15 minutes!!! And once he came back up, guess what?! Wrong screwdriver again!!!! He then proceeds to use his key, which somehow worked!! He then lets us know that if we have to leave, he would need to use his key to get us back in! After 1 hour of we checked in, we were finally in our room ready to enjoy a movie! Once we got in the room, there was no fridge, no Netflix & there was hair all over the bathroom! I really don’t complain but this 1 night stay was horrible! Before we left, I checked to see if our key would magically work & guess what!! IT DID! I asked the same man who checked us in last night, did he fix it & he said no!!! I still don’t understand what happened ! Guy was super nice but I probably won’t be back!

Location Room was not well cleaned upon arrival. While there for 5 nights, when towels were changed out nothing else was done. No trash picked up until I sat it by the door in a large paper bag, no in room coffee or cup restock and bed was never straightened up nor were bed sheets changed after the third day. The dresser that the tv sat on was covered in dust and part of the desk and desk lamp base covered in dust. Good thing I carry cleaning wipes and Lysol spray. Could also smell smoke occasionally in the hallway. Also the refrigerator was missing the shelf and could not be used properly.

Very nice hotel and staff. Very comfort with our stay.

The check in prices was very slow. We were checking in late and there were another person in front of us. We waiting almost 25 minutes before we finally got our key to the room.

1. The close proximity to the highway. 2. The very spacious rooms. 1. The furniture (couches and chairs) were FILTHY with visible stains all over. 2. The carpet was old and dirty. 3. Outdated altogether.

Pool was nasty Fri. Sat. And Sunday. Finally put a sign up Sunday but kids were still using the cloudy pool. Hopefully no one got sick

The pool was reason why we picked this place and it was dirty and unclean Fri, Sat, Sun and Sun they put up a sign. I feel like we should get a refund for the reason why we picked the inside pool. My husband had a heart attack and he was supposed to try and exceriin a pool for 9 days before they go back in and put dye in. But this weekend he wasn't able to us the ammendies.

The staff was wonderful! The only complaints I have are that they’re is no microwave in the room and the tv could be upgraded as we had no cable and the only app that was on the tv was Prime.

The staff and hotel was great! We were there for the Rodriguez wedding in April and it was a great hotel and with an even better location!

Outside sitting area very nice

It was so quiet, the bed was comfortable, and there was HOT water. I cannot tell you how many hotels have lukewarm water, run out of hot water, or a shower with no pressure.

So very nice and leisure !!! The people were so very kind !!! Everything was so spotless !!! I LOVED this motel and it will be my stay of choice !!! There was nothing I didn’t like about this entire property !!!
