Was clean very nice staff an loved it being close to beach an pool was very clean

The hotel was decent overall. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the hotel could use some updates. The elevator takes forever and they smelled terrible. Staff was friendly and check in was easy. It wasn't amazing, but it was a good place to stay for a short trip price was ok with it being across from the beach, could have been cheaper. The breakfast was nothing but starch no meats. If you would like a good breakfast go to Gypsy joint the food was delicious.

Not good. The hotel was run down. Elevators were slow. Room was ok but did not stay. At least I got a refund for the room they didn't allow me to checkin just because my sons name was on it.

Overall this hotel was really nice. My bf and I enjoyed staying here for sure. The pool was the best part.

First the hotel was starting to remodel however, the hotel needed a lot of work. The rooms were not as clean as they could have been, there were trip hazards everywhere and mold. There was black mold all over the place. I’d leave it negative stars if I could.

Right across from the beach gas stations in walking distance.

From the moment we checked in, the staff was unfriendly and seemed more interested in their phones than helping guests. When we entered our room, there was a stale odor, but we were eager to enjoy the beach, so we left without thinking much of it. When we returned later that evening, my husband noticed paint and sheetrock falling from the bathroom ceiling. As a property manager, I immediately recognized the signs of a water leak and found what appeared to be mold on the ceiling. We reported it to the front desk, but there was little concern or urgency. Instead of apologizing, we were told we had to remove all of our belongings from the room before they would issue us a new room key. The problems didn’t stop there. Throughout our stay, there were repeated power outages, and the hallways were filled with children and adults yelling and running around late into the night, making it nearly impossible to relax or sleep. The room condition, poor customer service, and overall lack of concern for guests made this a very disappointing stay. I cannot recommend this hotel and would not choose to stay here again.

The updating is very nice, though a few little corners may have been skipped! Nothing intolerable! Bed was very comfortable. Hotel was very clean! Only downfall for us, pool area closed at 10pm and we went to sit out and relax and enjoy the gulf breeze by the pool (not swim), but were told we had to leave by 10! Felt like a child with a curfew!

The girls at the front desk are rude and unhelpful . Hot room , breakfast was gross.
-
Elevator was extremely slow. Rooms were still outdated. Mattresses and pillows were very uncomfortable.

I took my daughter for her 18th birthday. As soon as we walked in the room it smelled like urine in the bathroom strongly .I was woke up to someone painting my balcony at 8 am making a lot of noise and they was doing construction with a saw in the room next to me . EVERY morning was construction I booked 3 nights here . The 2nd night the electric was out and the staff was very unhelpful with any knowledge of anything. The only elevator was constantly wet from people swimming with no wet floor sign. I had to take a nap at a store on my way back to Oklahoma cus I couldn't get good sleep .

The only downside, breakfast ,only eggs. No bacon or sausage. Friendly staff , our hats off to the cleaning crew.
-
Not well kept. Bad smell. Hot lobby and entrance. Old bed/needed replacement. Uncomfortable pillow.
-
Liked the balcony and walking across the street to the beach

The saying “pictures lie” rings so true for this place. The front desk girl wasn’t pleasant when checking us in. Gave us a room with 2 non-working TVs, a sink that also didn’t put out water. Had to tell her just so they don’t charge me for something being “broken”, and all she said was “ok”. No offer of another room, no apology, nothing. Only needed to stay for one night so it was whatever. But hospitality was nonexistent, to say the least. Then, one of the bed had a little throw at the bottom of the bed with a blood smear on it. And then the “breakfast”. Only options were, make your own waffle, fake eggs, bananas, apples, some pastry and bagels, and milk and cereal. Come hungry, leave hungry. Not sure why there are any good reviews. I sure didn’t see or experience any good qualities. Will not consider them again when coming to Galveston.
