Galena is a great long weekend visit. Only negative is cell service is really bad. Makes it a little tough to navigate around. You will have to learn to read maps again. Would stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and spacious which was perfect since our daughter is in a wheelchair. We will definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel w/ a good breakfast for the price. Beautiful wrap around porch in the back - great place to reset.

Very clean room and a great breakfast!

Very disappointing as the hotel was worn, outdated, grounds (at the entry neglected) had numerous thistles over knee high at the entrance right at the sidewalk edge as well as other weeds. The hall caret was a trip hazard for my 83 yr old mother as it is worn out and very loose. Our room also had filthy carpet so make sure you take some slides. The beds were comfortable so that was a plus. We were on the first floor so we could hear the people above who were heavy walkers. The bathroom was another yuck and out dated. Short toilet, old tub/shower combo which did not have any kind of grab bars to step in/out of the tub to shower. I guess I should have requested a handicap room but I tend to leave those for people who truly need them. The morning breakfast had a nice selection and beverages. The furniture in the lobby was newer but other couches outside of the main lobby were worn. We did go down the use the hot-tub one evening. The pool is a good size and the chlorine level was tolerable (occasionally indoor pool situations irritate my eyes) but both could use a good cleaning. Noticeable black grime was on the concrete decking where it wraps/edge of the hot tub, so grab a towel and cover before resting your head/neck. We also were hoping to relax and take a stroll out around the pond, however there are no walking paths and again, not very well maintained so passed to avoid bug bites. There is a nice size deck.

Best hotel I’ve ever stayed...

Staff was very nice. Our room smelled terrible. It smelled like chemicals were used to cover up the smell of something else.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! Hotel was nicely laid out. Everything was great. Husband wasn’t super impressed with breakfast, but I appreciated the healthier options- yogurt, oatmeal, chia seeds. Nice workout room and pool- patio was also a nice touch!

I was there with my Mom for a weekday conference, and the price was a good value for what the property offered. The only thing that was frustrating was the walls seem to not be as soundproof as they could be. The first night there was a guest above us that sounded like an elephant walking back-and-forth about 50 times between the hours of 10 P.M. and midnight, and the family in the room next to us sounded like they were in the hallway right outside the door. Other than that, the stay was nice and an easy drive to Dubuque.

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. During my stay, I found a cockroach in my room, which made me feel uncomfortable and unable to sleep for the rest of the night. What made the situation even worse was that management completely ignored my messages and failed to follow up or offer any meaningful resolution. Cleanliness and customer service are basic expectations, and this hotel failed in both areas. I would not recommend staying here based on my experience

This is a really great hotel if you want to explore Galena and its surroundings a bit. We absolutely loved the pool and hot tub and the staff was super nice and super helpful. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that the AC was quite loud, but this seems to be fairly standard in this area (I had this at other hotels too) so I shut it off in the middle of the night and opened the window.

Everyone I came in contact with was pleasant and helpful. Stayed here to tour Main Street in Goleta. Very close proximity as well as a Walmart for any type of food I want. Use the hot tub, very relaxing. Plenty of parking. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. I really enjoyed my stay here.
