Grant Hills Motel

We booked our stay for a festival we were attending. Didn’t look too much into the room details we just needed a place to sleep. Didn’t realize there was a nice pool and they even have an area in the back where you can have a campfire. We were pleasantly surprised! Our room was small, but decent. My only suggestion would be to get better beds. They weren’t the most uncomfortable, but they definitely weren’t the best. And the bed was dangerous to sit on as it would slide on the floor very easily. We would stay here again if the need arises.

Very clean, beautiful property

This hotel was clean but could use new mattresses and flooring in the rooms. Staff were helpful, and the pool was amazing! Overall for the price was a good place to stay.

We did not even say we went in the room and it smelt so bad of mildew and mold it was burning my kids noses and burning my throat. We cannot even stay in the room. We were offered another room but no refund however we did not want the other room because their office smelled just like mildew and mold as well. Meaning the whole building smells that way. The guy refused to give us a refund. The room is not worth $200. This was a rip off and they need to use their money to bleach the mold out of that property.

Was ok. Clean but property was outdated, which I guess you could say, added to the charm. A good coat of paint, some dry wall and tile fixes would freshen things up. Husband thought our room looked worse than others, so maybe we were just unlucky and got a pet room, (no carpet) even though we didn't bring a pet.

Overall good! Lots of parking, the rooms were overall clean and the beds were comfy with no bed bugs! There was a fair amount of dust and the breakfast was fairly basic but overall it is a place I would recommend for any traveler.

Perfect motel for a one night stay on a road trip. Very clean, parking right in front of your door, bed was comfy. Dog was happy, plenty of lawn to walk for him.

Just a mile outside of town, it was a clean, comfortable room on well-kept grounds. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Absolutely nothing bad to say about my weekend experience there!

Easy to check in. Cute rooms and beautiful property. Staff was lovely.

The property is beautiful, but the building and the rooms are out dated. Then bathtub and sinks had stains. the rooms desperately needed painting. The beds roll. Almost fell off the bed when I went to sit down. Needs a lot of updating. You get what you get for the price. There is a language barrier. When we went to check out, I had woken up the owner. Noone was at the front desk.

Charming motel outside of town. Very helpful staff.

I mainly selected this motel because I needed a 2am check in, at a good price and close to Galena. My expectations were not high, but I was pleasantly surprised! Check in was no problem, and the room was super clean and neat as a pin. Updated, retro-ish feel without being trendy, and the staff were super friendly.

We enjoyed sitting in the chairs outdoors. We had a great time. A couple restaurants were pretty close so there were plenty of food options. The rooms could use a some renovating. The bathroom could use new tile and repainted. The beds were ok. The staff was friendly. The only issue I had was wanting to use a different credit card to pay than the one holding the room, I guess that isn't allowed there.

Cute place, I liked their patio areas and lots of outdoor space in the back. Everyone was helpful, it was a great trip to Galena. Room smelled kinda funny but didn’t stink, more like a baby powder 😂 I would stay again!
