Hampton Inn Amelia Island at Fernandina Beach

My event was late afternoon and I was able to keep my room until 4pm

The room was dirty and smelled like weed. There were old shoes left under the desk and a dead bug in the corner by the wall unit.

the carpet was really in need of a good cleaning, I have cold feet, so was wearing white socks while in the room, the bottoms of them were filthy looking. too bad, otherwise, things looked clean, breakfast offering was marvelous, shower was great. but they do need to do something with that carpeting.

I believe the property was beautiful and inviting. Beautiful pool and great breakfast! Interior of hotel is beautiful and smells sanitized, clean, and would never know that this is a pet friendly hotel because it does not smell like pets at all! N/A

Convenient location and very helpful that beach towels & chairs were included

The room was nice. Wished the fan could cut off. There was so much humidity in the room tho, the floor was damp, the sheets felt damp as well. Probably need dehumidifiers in the rooms. The staff was great though. The first room we were assigned had a clogged bathroom sink so they moved us to a new room.

Breakfast options were great. Something for everyone. Staff was pleasant. Check in/out process was simple and convenient. Pillows were terribly flat. Temperature of the room was difficult to maintain. 69 was too cold; 70 was too hot. Very humid in the room. Obvious mildew spotting on the ceilings. Showerhead was functioning but only on one setting. TV sound was poor quality. Everything seemed as well-kept as possible but very dated.

The room was clean and comfortable. The free breakfasts were much better than expected.

I liked that the room was clean, staff was like and professional, and had easy access to all amenities. Bed was hard.

The toilet in the room had not been cleaned. The sink in the room did not drain, the lever for the drain stopper wasn’t attached to the stopper. The room smelled of mold. The women’s toilet in the lobby was disgusting and it took the staff at least 12 hours to address the problem. The server for the breakfast was blatantly rude to customers. The coffee was not brewed properly and tasted like water. Worst stay at a Hampton EVER.

The staff was very accommodating. The building is about 15years old and only one elevator. We were a late arrival and got good service. Loved the location and parking. Breakfast menu not so much for healthy folk.

Location The hallway and rooms smelled very strong of industrial cleaner. Yuck!!!!

Beds were not comfortable but besides that it was a great stay

We enjoyed our stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. Our room was decorated for our 38th wedding anniversary and we were gifted a bottle of wine! All of the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well stocked, coffee/tea/cocoa available all day long plus they have beach chairs you can take down to the beach for use. The pool was refreshing and we liked that it is open until midnight so that guests can enjoy it after returning from dinner or a walk on the beach. Parking is free here which was a big plus. The walk to the beach isn't bad but we chose to drive since the weather was a bit iffy. We appreciated the late checkout of noon so that we could spend a bit of time at the beach in the morning then come back to rinse off before heading home.

The room and amenities were excellent. The breakfast was good. The proximity to the beach was good as well. The interaction with the general manager was very good. We plan to return to this location later in the summer.

Everything was very clean, the staff always said hello, good morning etc and was very helpful when we needed anything The only thing I noticed was the blinds in the lobby needed dusting. We will stay here again & highly recommend it
