Sleep Inn & Suites Columbus - State University Area

The room is dusty. Staff was terrible on the phone. It appears talking to someone well trying to take my reservations did not look you in the eye. hot to understand speak with slur very slow performance duties very slow at checkout took too long. He wanted my room key to go and check the room before he would give me my deposit back. I’m a police officer in full uniform. Working in Columbus on an extra job detail, staff was not polite. I would not pick that hotel to stay in again.

This property is disgusting. We had paid for four nights and ended up only staying one night due to there being bugs in the bed. Our faucet was busted, there was yellow stains all over our sheets. Our bathroom had no door frame. And we had planned with our family member who had just graduated from the army to go back to the hotel and swim, but we cannot do so because there was dead frogs in the pool. The hotel felt so nasty for my kids.

My party of four stayed at this hotel, we booked four rooms. The moment we all checked in we all had issues with our rooms. From yellow and black stained sheets, mold under the sink, no fresh sheets on the bed, a pipe spraying water under the sink, and finding a carpet bug in the bed.

We booked four rooms and all four rooms were dirty. We had to go get cleaning supplies and clean the bathrooms. The bedding had yellow stains and we found bed bugs. We talked to a staff member and when we asked for another room he acted he was bothered by the request. After we switch rooms he laughed at us. The pool had a dead frog and was not maintained. We cancelled our stay and went somewhere else.

I did not eat the breakfast, but my family did not care for it at all. Their complaint was it was cold and not many choices. We have stayed in many hotels that offer breakfast this hotel was by far the worst! We were told the pool would be available and it was not. However apparently after numerous complaints from other guests on our 3 day we were able to swim.

The beds were so hard and uncomfortable.

Untidy area, pool unfit for swimming, terrible continental breakfast, ice machine not working on our floor, old and outdated suite with 1 bathroom, king sized bed mattress was hard and could feel the springs,peeling and patched wallpaper on walls on most of hallway on our floor. The frigerator freezer worked after turned to highest setting but the bottom part of refrigerator didnt get cold, only cool. There was no automatic room cleaning, trash emptied or clean towels unless requested. There was a notice on a small piece of paper applied to mirror on vanity in king-sized bedroom (which we didn't see) until we asked at front desk and they told us.

There was nothing that I like. The property is poorly kept. I did not like the environment. Customer service was so horrible that we decided to walk away and not stay.

The location of this hotel is not appealing. We were required and off by the police and not allowed to come into the parking area returned from dinner because a bomb threat was called in to the restaurant adjacent to ours and in the same location.

Beds was very uncomfortable light in the bathroom didn’t work beds didn’t seem like queens more like full size beds our refrigerator wouldn’t work when we got there but my husband seemed to be able to get it to work eventually and the breakfast was kinda sad the waffle batter was running really low and wouldn’t come out and I asked the staff guy and he just came over and tilted the whole container and was like it’s not completely out you just have to tilt over to get it out ?

Room was clean but could use some upgrades. The appliances were old and worn as well as the furniture. Needs sprucing up.

Only thing I liked is that a room was available The smell, the trowels, the shower, the sheets on the bed and the pillows.

We booked at other hotel that was gross, dirty and did not feel safe. We ended up coming here and open arms! The staff was all amazing!

Where it was located Oh it was terrible . Outdated , nasty , uncomfortable , horrible products , odor . . . I can keep going
