The Drake is an iconic Chicago hotel with a great history. It is perfectly located at the intersection of the Miracle and the Gold Coast. Great shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. Walking distance to the Lake Michigan beaches. Although older with some wear it is highly recommended.

El baño estaba sucio el Walpaper y despegado en varios sitios El desayuno feo y caro No tienen café rico, ni ofrecen buen jugo de naranja fresco ni una buena calidad en lo que sirven Además frío lo que sirven llega frío

Nice hotel - lots of history there. Great meeting/conference rooms too. Room was a little tired though.

Great location

Classic hotel, great location (short walk to Magnificent Mile, Water Tower Place), but a bit tired and shopworn. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Staff was wonderful.

The hotel itself is beautiful, with classic elegance and a sense of history that makes the stay feel special. We especially enjoyed the lounge, which was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the city. One of the biggest advantages is the location. Everything is within walking distance, making it easy to enjoy Chicago without constantly relying on transportation. In fact, I would recommend skipping valet or parking altogether if you plan to spend most of your time downtown. A memorable stay with outstanding service, historic character, and an unbeatable location. We would gladly stay here again.

Our room was spacious and clean. The only thing I'd point out is that on the lake side, it was kind of noisy in the evening-- lots of cars going by and revving their engines. That being said, when the park closes at about 11:00, it went silent. This definitely did not keep me up at night, but it might bother another person. The staff was very helpful. It was a nice touch that they offered us water to take on our adventures.

The staff and service was notably outstanding as well as the central location to Rush Street and Michigan with tons of shopping and dining nearby. Loads of character and charm in the hotel. Keep in mind that this location can be noisy throughout most of the night with traffic sirens and honking noticeable from inside room. Not horrible but if you are a light sleeper, something to consider. We were on 4th floor for reference.

This hotel needs updating/refurbishing. the lobby is shabby, the wallpaper is peeling, etc. The room decor is tired and dated. I realize this is an historic property, but a little love would help. The aircon was inadequate, and the fan kept me up all night. The amenities were sparse and again no magnifying mirror. The staff was lackadaisical, occasionally loud as they shouted from one end of the hall to the other. Breakfast, what breakfast?

Nothing, it was gross Room stunk. Stop letting people smoke in there
-
There is no continental breakfast offered. Very disappointing.

Beautiful view of the lake. Knowing the history and age of the hotel you feel like you are living in the past but will return because the hotel is wonderful.

The Drake Hotel was an incredible experience. It’s an historic hotel and is still in very good condition. I enjoyed my stay there, and will stay there when I’m in Chicago the next time.
