It was well located and provided necessary amenities

Despite sending an email giving plenty of information that the train I was on was not going to get to Chicago until the next day due to flash floods they decided to charge me the full price. Dissapointing!
-
Amazing location close to metro all the great sites I literally could walk to wintrust to see a Chicago sky game. And took the blue line cta to o hare airport. It’s by the train so recommend bringing an eye mask, ear buds and flip flops for the shower. The staff was super helpful in check in!

good value for money. large kitchen available for cooking, free coffee, fridge storage and lounge with seating zones and tv. next to elevated train but noise not a factor. rooms large, beds comfy, lockers in rooms with locks for sale at front desk, location excellent. coffee shop next door that can be reached w/out going outside. great space. the hostel life you expect.

I arrived in Chicago around 8 in the morning. I went straight to the hostel, as they were able to take my bags to store them before check in as I explored the city. If I needed something from my bags they didnt hesitate to let me access them before checking in. The lady at the front gave me a temp key for their guest lounge if i wanted to hangout before check in. The lounge is amazing. Dining room is beautiful. Commercial group kitchen is great. Really homing to see other guest all making their foods in the morning. As of location, I'd say its perfect for city exploration, pretty central right in downtown. The staff were very nice and helpful, and they host group activities and tours etc. to sign up for free as a guest which are actually really cool. At night after dark the lounge is a cool hangout. Really feels like a loving place. I had no bad experiences. So many different ethnicities of people stay here and its really a cool thing. I love meeting new people and the people that I met here from all over the world were nice. It was my first stay in a hostel and I would definitely do it again. Im already planning to come back. Everything this hostel has to offer for this price, you can't beat it. 10/10 would recommend

Location of the Hi Chicago Hostel was great!
-
Perfect location
-
Out of their control, but the L train was literally outside our window. For the price we paid it was OK.
-
The outside of the hostel is full of homeless, making a dirty and unsafe environment
-
I didn’t like that you had to share bathrooms and there was no tv. No kitchen or microwaves. The beds were comfortable and it is located near everything we wanted to do.
-
My room also did not have a remote control until I mentioned it to them
-
Awesome place. Bring or buy a pair of ear plugs
-
Overall good stay!

Our room was very clean. The kitchen was a plus for making breakfast.
