Sonesta ES Suites Charlottesville University

Everything was wonderful from the first time we walked in to the hotel till we checked out. Very friendly and professional. The rooms were the perfect size, bed was very comfortable, couldn’t have asked for anything more. We booked our next stay before we left the parking lot!

The Sonesta was a great cost-benefit hotel option for Charlottesville. The staff was always nice and helpful. The room, while a bit dated, was spacious, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. I would stay there in the future.

My stay was good overall. The shower was a little dingy and could use a good scrub or replacement and the towels smelled musty. But the continental breakfast was great, the staff friendly, and the bed comfy. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Great location to the John Paul Jones Arena, and a quick walk to restaurants and shopping across the way. Staff was delightful at breakfast time.

We came across a few dirty spots in our room. We were put in a room with a view of a wall, even though the hotel was near-empty

Fellow travelers…this is the place to be! Conveniently located (major shopping center across the street), spacious room (we had a full kitchen, living area + the usual bed and bath), excellent amenities (outdoor pool, exercise room, business center, and the BEST breakfast I’ve seen in ages). I wish I was able to stay longer!

Everyone was nice and accommodating when issues came about. The pool and basketball hoops were nice and the location. The cleaning of the rooms on the 3rd floor. I was moved to the first after two moves and was very happy after that.

I always stay here when visiting family in the area; perfect location, clean rooms and hallways, and the staff is always GREAT (especially Kathy at the front desk, she's a gem!!).
