Residence Inn by Marriott Charlotte Steele Creek

Power was out in the hotel for hours due to weather. I would expect that a hotell of this caliber had a backup generator at least for the common areas. Additionally if weather kept me from arriving at the hotel I would still have to pay for my room but when weather prevents the hotel from being inhabitable I still have to pay for my room ?! That doesn’t make sense

Overall, we had an excellent stay at the Residence Inn at Steele Creek. We booked a king-size bedroom with a pull-out sofa for one night before flying out of CLT the next morning. Our room was on the first floor directly across from the patio/pool access hallway. The room was clean and spacious, but the bathroom shower did look like it could use some cosmetic repairs. Overall, the grounds were well-maintained, but some people on the patio may have been smoking, as the smell carried into the 1st-floor hallway. We left at 5 am and did not get a chance to partake in breakfast, but we were pleased with our experience otherwise. The hotel was in a safe area and very convenient for us to drive to the airport from. We would definitely consider staying here again.

The room is spacious and clean. The bed is comfortable. The pressure in the shower was uneven, but no big deal. The only negative for me was how loud the AC was when it turned on to cool the room down. I had to wear earplugs ro sleep.
