Portofino Inn Burbank

We were thrilled with our experience at Portofino Inn! It was perfect location for our Hollywood/Movies themed vacation - so close to everything we wanted to do. When checking in we were pleasantly surprised to learn that the attached restaurant has been a filming location for dozens of movies and commercials. It fit right into our trip like we had planned it all along. And even better they had something else shooting while we were there, so we were able to watch the behind the scenes setup all from our room. I was impressed with how seamlessly the hotel staff navigated the film shoot without inconveniencing guests at all. True professionalism and a great stay!

The hotel was simple, but clean and comfortable. Parking was easy and it was an easy drive to Universal Studios each day.

Perfect location for trip to universal. Great on site parking. Only complaint is room lighting with all lights on still felt dim

Stayed one night it worked for us

Sadly no elevator so had to drag my luggage upstairs. Front desk was very nice and they serviced the room. Overall ok stay

While it may not look like much on the exterior, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked my room. Plenty of space, clean, everything I needed for an overnight stay. And a very comfortable bed. As for the location, being familiar with Burbank, it is convenient to the freeways and anything you might want.

There is also a breakfast, but we did not stick around for that. Would I stay again? Maybe...but the lack of a coffeemaker and a few more amenities was a deal breaker for me (but that's because I am an early riser and am used to coffee at 5am). As a fun aside, for those who have kids/teens and need something to do in the late afternoon/evening, there is a great place called Family Arcade about 20 minutes away - you pay a flat fee for unlimited arcade gaming ($25 per person). Not ideal for big families, but it was just me and my teen, so it worked out well since there is not much to do around the hotel. We killed several hours in there.

Very nice comfortable and clean rooms. Super convenient location, literally just a couple minutes from the mall, restaurants, and short drive to Universal Studios without having to get on the freeway. It feels like an older neighborhood, but clean and quiet area. Felt totally safe to travel with just myself and my kids. Really enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast is not really a continental breakfast, more like a couple muffins, packaged sweets, coffee and juice.

The outside of the property is well maintained. The room cleaning was mediocre at best (not well vacuumed, dust, prints on the mirror). The staff is great - friendly & helpful. I didn’t make it to breakfast but I saw it being set up the night before during check in. Looked well stocked. Disappointed that there is no in-room coffee. Kind of a fun location if you are into TV & Movie filming locations.

This is a great place to stay in. I was not expecting how clean it was and to my surprise it had a mini fridge and a microwave. I will definitely be staying here again.

The staff is very courteous, kind and very helpful. Breakfast is minimal, but adequate for us. We stayed here many times and appreciate the lodging, location and care the staff takes to makes the Portofino Inn a wonderful place to stay.

Clean, updated rooms, quick easy check in. Coffee and juice available during office hours. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast. Easy walk to 7-11. Plenty of parking - we always got a spot right by our room. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. Anything near to LA can be sketchy but this was pretty good. This was our second time staying here and would stay again.

I would stay there again

Staff were very nice and helpful. Only downside is the walls are very thin and think sink did not work properly.
