Room had visible mold everywhere. Staff did not properly check us in (though they originally said they did) which led to a random man trying to get into our room around midnight. Was moved to a new room mid stay, but did not take away the original disgust from the room and staff.

My daughter felt unsafe.

After checking in, we tried to use the elevator and almost got stuck in it. Luckily, the doors opened back up, and we got out immediately. We then had to carry our luggage up four flights of stairs. As we walked through the hallways, there was construction everywhere. The ceilings were falling apart, with pieces of wood and paint scattered throughout the hall. On the way to our room, we also noticed the pool was disgustingly murky, with dirt and debris covering the bottom. Once we got to our room, the air conditioning wasn’t working, and the thermostat read 80°F. We went back to the front desk, and their explanation was that it needed to be reset because the cleaning crew had turned it off. At that point, we immediately requested a refund and left. This is actually my first time ever leaving a negative hotel review. I’ve never had an experience this bad, and I hope no one else has to deal with it.

Walked back to the front desk and said the room was unacceptable. Instead of offering a different room, the desk clerk offered us a refund immediately, but said that because it was booked through a 3rd party (Expedia), there would be an extra step in the refund process. After a few seconds, she told me that the money was sent back to Expedia and that I would have to handle things through Expedia at that point. We left the hotel, went to our event, and decided to go ahead and drive the 4 hours back home. We arrived back home just before 4AM, and when I woke up this morning, I discovered that Expedia had no idea that our booking was terminated. I tried calling the front desk of the hotel (no answer), I messaged the hotel through Expedia in the same way they messaged me on the day of arrival (no reply). Expedia tried reaching out to the hotel on my behalf, with no luck as of yet. This is a completely terrible experience with this hotel; not only did they keep the money from our canceled booking, but we also had to pay an extra $40 for parking which has not been refunded yet (a separate ongoing claim). If there is any happy resolution to this, I will gladly update my review, but the hotel itself was a complete mess, and we would never ever consider staying there again.

This hotel was a very nice experience. The room was very nice, comfy bed, meaning not hard or firm....it was comfy. I got the executive room and it was spacious. the staff is very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

This property was under construction and very loud! I couldn't sleep, & the hot water wasn't working! Front desk was no assistance!

The building is outdated and it feels and looks rundown in need of an update.

Being closed to downtown They were making improvements so there was lots of noise

Old hotel that needs much updating and work. They were maintenance personnel sanding, the surfaces of the concrete walkways, which was very loud and it seemed to be right under my room.

This hotel needs someone who cares about presentation. The people that work there are great; friendly, willing to help and are professional. The hotel itself, while under construction is a hot mess. If it wasn't for the friendly staff, I would have eaten the cost of staying and left. Even then, it turns out that the lights in the unit didn't work except for the bathoom sink light. The water ran, was hot, but had nails and screws on the floor, a desk chair that looked like it was a cat's scratching post at one time, The TV wouldn't turn on and none of the outlets worked except for the one in the vanity. The closet had a hole punched in it, and the light from the front door told us there was as gap underneath the door too. There was a huge cricket or roach crawling on the floor, couldn't quite tell, it was so dark in there. The A/C worked extremely well, but c,mon...it felt like I was in a section 8 complex. Whoever is managing that place needs to step up their game because your staff is working hard to provide a service that is seemingly welcoming, but offers little back except over-priced booking and $45 for valet parking. Better to do the garage 2 blocks down, $30 for 24 hours. Way better. That upgrade better be next level because the investment cost to accomplish it won't be cheap.

Beanca at the front desk was absolutely amazing and friendly and so helpful with our state to make us feel comfortable The only thing I did not like about the parking is as a guest I would appreciate the option to choose valet parking or no valet parking instead of being forced to pay for valet parking with the threat that my car will be towed at the hotel that I am paying to stay at
