The Connally Hotel Downtown Atlanta, an Ascend Collection Hotel

We arrived around 4:30 PM. The lobby was extremely hot, and it didn't seem like the air conditioning was working properly. There were security staff standing nearby, but no one greeted us or offered any assistance. I asked where the front desk clerk was, and the security guard mumbled something that I couldn't understand. I waited about 20 minutes just to check in while my family was outside in the 100-degree heat waiting with our car for valet service. There was absolutely no one at the front desk during that time. When a receptionist finally arrived, she was unfriendly, rude, and seemed annoyed from the start. She checked us in without any welcoming attitude. Later, when the elevator didn't seem to be working, I politely asked if it was operating. Before I could even finish my question, she interrupted me and said very rudely, "Yes, ma'am, you have to wait for it to come down." We ended up taking the stairs because the elevator took so long. When we got to our room, it was also extremely hot. We had to turn on the air conditioner and wait nearly three hours before the room became comfortable. Overall, the customer service was poor, the staff was unprofessional, and the hotel was uncomfortably hot in both the lobby and the room. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it based on my experience.

The staff was incredible! So friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit older, but the team keeps it clean. I'd definitely stay here again!

Elevator didnt work, toilet wasnt flushing, ac never cooled down, staff was super rude, sarcastic and unhelpful, a lot of solicitors right around the entrance! Wouldn’t recommend it!

It was a smooth trip from the airport via Marta and a short walk to the hotel. Check in was a breeze even though we were a little early. All went well and staff was friendly. Checkout was seamless with a key drop box since we had already prepaid for the room. Ideally located downtown in the heart of it all and just a short walk to the stadiums and Centennial Park and Pemberton Place where all the attractions are located. Plus, The Underground was only steps away with great entertainment, food, and beverages right there.

I suggest parking in the underground parking garage. Otherwise, staff was nice, room was clean. No issues. Breakfast was good. Concierge was helpful.

I would not recommend this place to anyone!

I had a good time since the morocco fan zone was next to the hotel, the hotel was clean my room was amazing for a cheap price although i put an 80$ dollar deposit which i didn’t know until i got there. Nevertheless the staff needs to work on their attitude towards guests wether they are from the usa or not.

Breakfast was till 09:30, but when we came in at 9:00 everything had run out. Everything. We asked for more and the staff told us they are out and will not be refilling anything, not even yogurts or cereal. All that was left was coffee. At 09:30, while people were still drinking coffee, the staff members shut off all the light and told everyone to leave. The cleaning crew was using the elevator during check out time, we were on 12th floor and it took us 20 mins to get down.

Staff was amazing. Hotel is old and smells musty. T really needs a facelift. Location is not ideal but we just sleept there.

There's NO PARKING. You will have to do valet. Depending on what you plan to do, if you choose to walk, expect A LOT of homeless people and interesting characters. The hotel does have 24 hour security at the entrance, because night time characters are amplified. The staff were nice and addressed each issue promptly however all requests (for towels, toilet paper, etc) you will need to go downstairs to the front desk to pick it it. They will not deliver/drop it off to your room.

The property needs updating and was not particularly clean. The room smelled musty. We stayed for 3 days and did not have hot water for the entire stay. Very disappointed.
