Quiet, clean and comfortable. Stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed each one. The breakfast was served fresh every morning. Couldn't ask for much more to be honest.

A wonderful place to stay.

The common areas were very welcoming and the room was quiet. I did not eat breakfast but it was offered and they had snacks for me to take with me.

The space was clean and breakfast was delicious.

The Iowa House is beautiful! However we had to listen to music (found out it was on all night from the lobby), so very little sleep. We had a staff member enter our room at 10:40 without knocking. And then again at 11:01, to see if we were leaving. Breakfast was ok. Lady that works at reception was friendly.

I had a wonderful time at the Iowa House! Everyone there was so nice. My room was cozy and clean and perfect for me! The price was good, too. It was a couple of blocks away from the Parks Library on campus at Iowa State University, which is where I spent my days. So great to have the complimentary breakfast each morning in the nice dining room. Also, I loved eating dinner at the little outside patio at the cute restaurant a block and a half from my room as well. Gorgeous neighborhood--quiet and conducive for studying. The parking was convenient and safe. I will be returning in a couple of months!

We stayed at Iowa House for 5 nights while attending an event at Iowa State University. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The staff was excellent and acted quickly to resolve an issue we had with the a/c. The breakfasts were so-so with a few good meals and a few "not-so-good" meals. A suggestion: add some healthier options on the breakfast counter such as less sugary cereal, plain yogurt, granola, etc.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Iowa house. It was clean, well-located, and had a very cozy feel to it. The bed was comfortable and had full-size pillows, which is important to me.

I love staying at the Iowa House when I visit my son at Iowa State. It is very close to campus, definitely within walking distance. The rooms are always clean and cool. The dining room always has something to eat at all hours. Breakfast in the mornings are always good. I even got a text asking if I would be eating breakfast. The staff are great and very accommodating. When I go to Ames, this is the first place I look to stay.

The room was a little warm. Tried adjusting temperature but maybe we were doing something wrong? Third floor room. Breakfast was good. Nice that snacks are available 24/7!

A lovely spot - a nice change from a hotel room - the home is well cared for and it’s a spot I have already recommended
