Comfort Inn and Suites Ames near ISU Campus

This place is always great to stay. The staff is amazing and prices are great!

The staff were so helpful in getting our rooms arranged and across from eachother and ready for an early check in so we could get to our family wedding on time. I had booked one night and then at last minute decided to book for the night before for the rehearsal, also. They made sure we could keep our same room so we didn't have to check out and check in again. Thanks so much for all your help. You made our wedding weekend so stress free.

We travelled to Iowa for a weekend stay. All 4 of us loved the convenient location. Breakfast included was a big plus. Staff was great and hotel was clean

What makes the difference at this hotel is the staff. From check into check out the hotel staff was amazing. I will stay here everything I have business in Ames, IA.

We stay here every time we are in Ames! Love this hotel for its many extras, great breakfast, convenient location and even offer washer and dryer . With a college kid in town we had to stay longer and appreciated that extra convenience

The front desk staff were very friendly. This trip I needed to use their laundry facility which was free. It was very clean too

The hotel desk person was invaluable in getting my reservation to go through due to a 3rd party mistake. I appreciate her persistence. My room was impeccably clean and comfort. The only thing that could have been better was breakfast which was lukewarm. Otherwise it was great!

It’s extremely convenient to campus, shopping and restaurants. Mildew and moisture…. Lots of rain in the area and leaky windows can be trouble. The room seemed a bit musty and was in need of updates. We also could not use the TV with the exception of one channel.

Exceptional

This is a good hotel I've stayed at before. The location is great, the rooms are nice, and I ordinarily would give it all 5s. But there are some things hotel management needs to address. First, the lobby should be clean. But it is not being cleaned regularly if at all. The floor in the lobby seating area is not swept - there are crumbs and scraps of paper all over the floor. Food scraps and cup rings on the tables are not cleaned up day after day. Second, one thing I expect from a hotel in this category is decent coffee. But this hotel is completely indifferent about that. The only coffee available (outside the nasty little coffee makers in the rooms) is a single instant coffee machine in the dining area, which makes some of the worst coffee I've tasted outside of a 1980s gas station. If I had to guess, I would say they have some indifferent management and this needs to be addressed if they want people to stay there outside of football season.

The pool was super cold! We can’t used it! The pool is the most important part when we travel with our daughter

Clean room, breakfast was served by 6:30 am which was helpful.
