Everhome Suites Amarillo West - Medical Center

The lobby looked great, once you walked to the hallways where the rooms are located there was bags and bags of trash lined up in front of the room doors. Front desk staff not very friendly, seemed to be bothered by checking people in. The maintance staff tried helping but did not have the same access as front desk staff to provide information/receipts. Carpets in halls look like they are never vaccumed as well as the elevator. Elevator walls look like they are never wiped down. No parking anywhere, had to park in tge street, down about a block. This is not a regular hotel, its more of a long term live in facility.

Room was clean and had a small kitchen with plates, cups, a microwave and a small fridge. Parking was right outside the room. Staff was nice and helpful. Didn't have ac but had a fan and we were able to open windows behind the curtains which made the room cooler at night.

Our room was a bit noisy, especially in the early morning. We were on the ground floor next to an elevator and nearest room to the lobby. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom light wouldn't stop turning on, with NOBODY in it. The ac wouldn't stay on unless you got up in the middle of the night, over and over again, to move around in front of it (motion activated) so it got way too hot. The pillows were terrible, the mashed down to feel like nothing at all. And when we asked for more they didn't have them. We requested an extra blanket (before we knew it was going to be hot) and they gave us a sheet. The blinds were broken and only came half way down so street lamps flooded the room. The hotel came up under Hotels.com as providing breakfast, but you had to buy it. Terrible experience for the reviews that they have - we would never go back.

$50 pet fee, no breakfast. If those are important to you…

Location was clean and well maintained. Parking is limited if larger vehicles are parked there.

Property was very clean and beds were comfortable. However, we faced a lot parking lot and the rooms had no darkening curtains. My parents’ room had poor water pressure while ours was great.

They have a nice little snack shop if you need to buy some food downstairs as well and a very nice lobby area to sit in. There’s complementary K cup coffee there and in the rooms. I know the area pretty well and this is one of the better hotels. Plenty of parking as well

There was no staff present at the front desk, no ice machine. I wouldn’t recommend it.

This is a cute place. Great if you have an extended stay and want some basic kitchen items. My only complaint is that the king bed I booked for 2 people to sleep in came with what I can only call throw pillows. They gave us 4 small square pillows to sleep with, 2 of which were flat. After driving 13 hours I really needed a good night's sleep and never even thought this was a possibility.

However, our in room coffee pot was broken, and when I went down to the common area to get some coffee, the desk clerk told me they didn’t have any. Evidently, they were changing vendors and all the stuff from the current vendor had to be gone before the new vendor would put their products in. Huh? The elevator door would not give enough time to allow the exiting riders to get off and the next to get back on before it closed. Usually people were yelling open the door! Now think trying to do this with luggage. The laundry room was a complete mess. The floor was dirty, lost socks (plural) on the floor, dryer sheets everywhere, dust and dirt on the machines and counters and the garbage was overflowing. I took a damp rag with me to wipe down the washers and they were dirty inside. All common area garbage containers were full. As we left that next morning people had put their trash bags out in the corridor by their door. Wouldn’t be better to have a garbage shoot for that purpose? Maybe with more staff and some TLC things could change for the better. If you want convenience this is for you. I won’t be back
