Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Des Moines West

Very clean room (king w/ sofa sleeper) with ample space and nearby amenities in addition to those onsite. Worth noting the sofa sleeper is more like a twin than a full if traveling with family.

The breakfast was great! I wish they had some fresh fruit at the buffet though. Our lock on our door did not work. My husband had to do something with it every time we left.

The breakfast had a lot of choices and it was kept up well. (I do wish hotels would offer almond milk for those of us who can’t drink dairy milk.) In our room you could hear a little highway noise, so I put the fan on “constant” mode and it drowned it out pretty well. Overall we were very happy with our stay here, and we feel like it was a great deal for the reasonable price.

The room itself was fine and breakfast was as advertised. The bathroom in our room definitely needs some real upgrades, not up to Marriott standards.

Mattress was terrible! Actually slept at an angle since it was caved in. Otherwise, nice clean room but since I was there to sleep…

The room was fine, spacious and new. Comfy bed and chairs. The local TV station reception was spotty. No hairdryer.

The staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms were clean and well maintained.

Good. All rooms today should have grab bars in the shower/bathtub, not just rooms that are deemed accessible.

Very helpful and kind staff at check in. The breakfast was good with variety. Some of the lobby chairs were showing wear but everything was clean and in working order. Room was good size, clean and comfortable.
