La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Norfolk Virginia Beach

Dirty and not maintained at all, there was hair everywhere on the floor in our room. I asked for room service 3 times to have our room cleaned and it did not get cleaned. We found cockroaches in our room the second night, we saw at leat 4 of them in our room and bathroom. Staff there was not helpful at all. The only person that was helpful was the receptionist at the front desk, he was polite and tried to help resolve our issue however the housekeeping was not doing their job. The manager was not there so we were unable to put in our complain directly with him. We ended up checking out early after 2 nights and requested a refund. We were suppose to stay there for 5 nights.

We have stayed in 8 La Quinta Motels in the last two months. This is one of the better one. Clean and very friendly staff. Breakfast was well stocked. We had to make a booking change and add a day and it went perfectly smooth. We’ll keep staying at LQ. Thanks

Room was okay. Staff was nice

My stay had a few areas that could be improved. The cleanliness of the room did not meet expectations, as it did not feel properly maintained upon arrival. In addition, staff support and responsiveness could be enhanced to create a more welcoming and helpful guest experience. Considering the overall experience, I did not feel that the stay provided value that matched the price paid. With improvements in cleanliness, customer service, and overall guest experience, the property could offer a much better stay for future visitors

Louis was great getting us all checked in and settled. The hotel room was clean but very worn. The building was going through some much needed upgrades. The grounds, specifically the side where the dog walk area is, was littered and neglected. Trash bags overflowing for a couple of days. Continental breakfast was good, pool area clean and enjoyed by several guests. The area is very noisy and poor soundproofing in the rooms. Plenty of parking.

rooms had blood stains on mattresses on 2/3 rooms. When I spoke to the GM he said that honestly all of the mattresses are like this and owners don't give us enough money to purchase new ones. Shame on you as a hotel to rent rooms like this and then not give people their money back!!!!!

Was an older version of this Hotel Chain, but was clean, neat and tidy.

The property was very accommodating and affordable. Only 17 minutes from Virginia Beach and the vending machines, breakfast, and pool were all available during the stay. We had a good experience overall.

My room was clean, the staff was friendly, and good parking.

The staff doesn’t communicate with each other. I asked for a late check out the night before, was granted it but by morning I had a bunch of knocks on my door as if I’m violating the 11am policy when I was granted a noon check out. Would I come back… absolutely not but overall my stay was very mid

Breakfast items for excellent breakfast area was excellent weight room with excellent The condition of the floors at the elevator entrance and the condition of the elevator my room was not fully cleaned or prepared I had to call staff up to come and wipe down bathroom counters and change living on bed. At 1:30 at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon the trash at the entryways had not been pulled the elevator was improperly wiped down with the wet towel versus using the proper stainless steel chemical to service the door for the clean the door inside of the elevator was filthy in the middle of the day. And at 3:00 in the afternoon doing my checking I had to get staff to come up and re-clean my room.

Room had poor lighting no towels, shampoo or soap when checking in. No place to put your towels and the place had a smell to it. Not impressed and it just was run down.

The hotel definitely did not live up to any other Laquinta I have stayed at. This one was remodeled very poorly and cheaply. The hallway floors were dirty, the elevator was a bit scary, and our room had the smallest beds I have seen for a double bed room. There were pieces of paint chips on our floor in our hotel room and our door closed and opened very stiffly. This hotel did not have the typical LaQuinta feel that others have. I wouldn't stay there again.
