Very good service clean rooms

Perfect location

Lobby will have you thinking hotel is nice and rooms were maintained, but they weren't. Rooms smelled like pets, and pee. Beds were not made up good. The restaurant service was horrible. We sat for 20mins before being waited on. Carpet in bedrooms need to be cleaned after rooms have been vacated by pets. All rooms did not have walk-in showers. I had 3 rooms with 1 vehicle, I was charged for parking on each room. Overall stay was awful. I will never stay here again the absolute worst!

Beach access was amazing, beach was gorgeous minus many cigarette butts. Tides food was good but pricey, service was mostly good but again depending on what staff you got. Drinks are expensive. The gift shop, sandbar market are nice amenities onsite. This area on the 2nd floor was kept up nice and clean maybe because they hosted conferences for sales teams 3 days during our stay. Overall we had a great family vacation because the beach was great but would not stay at this hotel again mainly because of cleanliness and unhelpful staff for an expensive price tag on hotel and amenities.

Food was excellent in the hotel and room was nice. Breakfast may have been included (continental) given the price of the room.

The pool is so dirty, the staff is not enough, the showers look so old. A couple years ago was amazing hotel & now is juts ok, but the price increase almost 70% up. Pls don’t let it go down is a beautiful place.

I like because oceanfront Not really clean I’ve paid a lot of money for tonight. Bad customer service. My door was sometime work sometime the summer work very hard to open. I notify already, but nobody came to fix that.

This is a very nice hotel with spacious, well-kept suites. The staff is friendly and helpful and the restaurant in the hotel (Tides) is actually very good. There was only one odd quirk. When we arrived in our suite, we found that the bath gel dispenser was completely empty. Although we made three requests to the desk and guest services, and were promised that they would take care of the issue, we were never able to get the soap refilled. We even spoke with two of the cleaning staff directly to no avail. Finally, we went to the front desk and they were able to provide several tiny bars of hand soap that worked just fine. Like I said, quirky, and it seemed like a simple request, but we couldn't get it resolved. We always bring our own shampoo and conditioner, but rely on the hotel to provide hand and bath soap so this was a new one for us. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, however, and I like that it was off the beaten path of the "boardwalk".

The room was along the back of u shape bldg had a peek view bldg width of ocean from far back overlooking a parking lot. View was off the bedroom can't see ocean from livingroom The hotel is crammed in between condos and you can look into those condos or they can look in on you. They have very few true oceanfront rooms they must be even more outrageously expensive Motorcycle noise echos all night long! Refrigerator had shelves removed you could only sit sodas on the bottom of fridge. Couldn't put manyin this way. ABSOLUTELY NO oWaterpressure I mean none zero. Difficult to get rinsed off. Batteries dead in one of the remotes not usable Toilet tank would not refill had to manually fill the tank and readjust float for it to flush properly everytime. Door to balcony would not open or shut easily it was difficult and had to use deadbolt to keep it closed. Phone in livingroom did not work to call front desk only bedroom phone worked About 6 miles to Boardwalk not many options for eating around the hotel No designated dog potty place. We were going to another hotel couldn't check in until 4pm had a pet Delta would not honor late check out. Even though we are Bonvoy mem

At nearly $500 for one night, I expected the room to be much cleaner than it was. It appeared that only the bare minimum had been done, and the overall cleanliness left a lot to be desired. In the past, our stays have been great, so this was disappointing. I rarely leave anything less than a positive review because I don't want to hurt a business. My hope is that management sees this as constructive feedback and takes a closer look at the quality of housekeeping. When guests are paying premium rates, the details matter. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I genuinely want this property to succeed. However, this experience has us considering other options for our next visit. I hope this was simply an off night and that improvements are made moving forward.

Very good

The 2 suites were exactly alike and across the hall from each other which was better than side by side. The restaurant is the best in VA BEACH in my opinion since this is an annual trip for the past few years. It's private beach is fantastic. It's only a 10 minute ride to the boardwalk. Everything thing has been exceptional in the 4 trips I taken each June.the water was cold each June we've been here. Each of our arrivals have been in the first, second or third week. We will continue to come in June, never crowded. The beds are extremely comfortable.

It was 55 degrees during our stay and the heated pool was not working so that was a major downside. The ocean water was warmer than the pool. I liked the direct beach access and it wasn't too crowded. We'd stay here again, but hopefully the heated pool works by then.

1- Room housekeeping was non-existent (Had to request and poorly done). 2- Way too many (none over 40 Lb your rule) dogs in elevators 3-Entry door was difficult to open/close (reported to staff, not addressed). 4- Parking space width is extremely narrow for any size vehicle !!!!! Pro: 1- Location is terrific 2- Expedia pricing is competitive 3- Rooms are spacious
