Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge

Clean room and a big, beautiful patio deck that acts as a Denali viewpoint. Gift shops and restaurants are available on the property for convenience. Free parking. They also have community guest laundry, microwave and other amenities you can use some of which are free to use. The only thing I would mention as a caution is that your room could be quite a bit of a walk from the main entrance but there are areas you can get your car closer in order to unload/load your luggage and then elevators inside.

We loved staying at the Talkeetna Lodge. The views of the mountains (including Denali) were spectacular!! The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly as were the servers in the restaurant. The only downside was there was one bartender (tattoos on face) who wasn't very friendly and seemed to have an attitude. Other than that, this was one of the best places we stayed in Alaska!! Thank you!

Forakers Restaurant was wonderful (loved the ribeye!). The lodge has an amazing view and THE place to stay in Talkeetna. Convenient shuttle, clean, quiet, very comfortable. Make your reservations well in advance!

The property was spotless and so charming— the location is incredible.

Rooms not available until 4PM and train arrives at noon. Rooms do not have air conditioning and temps in May can be 60 and more in afternoon sun.

We stayed here 3 nights. The views were breathtaking! Nice clean rooms and very friendly helpful staff. The shuttle runs every hour to take you to the town of Talkeetna. Lots of hiking trails on the property and nearby. I did not particularly care for the food. Need more of a variety. All in all it is a great place to stay.

Beautiful place! The room was huge and very clean. Restaurant was delicious, a little pricey, but in house so that was convenient. The only negative was the work out room was very tiny with not many options. The property did have hiking trails though which was nice. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Staff was the best part of our stay! The shuttle drivers to the front desk staff were so friendly and welcoming. They helped my girls trip be so much more fun with the help for our snowshoeing adventure to getting us to and from downtown Talkeetna. Would love to stay again someday :)

Great view of Denali from the patio area. Front staff was friendly. Free sledding, snow shoeing, and a convenient shuttle that took you into town. We also stayed up to watch the northern lights. It was the first day of spring and the snow on the ground was starting to melt. We plan to come back in the summer.
