Hyatt Place Santa Fe

Beds were comfortable, and breakfast was good. Second day they ran out of coffee right away so I recommend going down early. Pool was nice but water was not clear.

The hotel appeared clean and the staff tried to be helpful. However…when I checked in and went to my room, the door was open. I informed the front desk who said the maintenance team had been repairing something in there. When I went into the restroom, the floor was wet. I assumed it was from the repairs. The shower door would not stay closed. I told the front desk who said they would have maintenance look at it. The shower door never stayed closed during my entire stay. The elevators and sometimes the hallway smelled like gasoline or oil. The smell was very strong and would almost instantly give me a headache. The hotel looks nice and the price point is that of a nice hotel. A deeper look (and smell) says that it’s a hotel with a few problems.

We stayed at the Hyatt while in town for a family wedding. About a 20 minute drive from the Plaza, this hotel is great and much less expensive. It was very clean and breakfast is included. The pillows were a bit soft for me but that’s just my opinion. Rooms are nice and a good size. I would definitely stay there again.

Pool is dirty and breakfast was marginal.

Breakfast was good. Staff was great. We had a minor issue with our room, but was fixed right away. The pool and hot tub needed to be cleaned better.

We had asked for a 5:30 wake up call which didn’t happen but we were already up at 5, so no worries there.

Good location. Quiet. The bed was too soft. Prefer not to have sink exposed in room - would prefer to have it in the bathroom. Room was not serviced every day.
