I feel the property was definitely more run down than the photos on line. But the marina location was nice for restaurants, and coffee shops. Location very close from airport also.

Mia at the desk is awesome and very welcoming. We booked a harbor view room that is really a parking lot view. This is an old hotel that is in a busy traffic area with cosmetic upgrades. The room was clean and the bedding was good. If you have 50-100$ more for a nite you can get a room on shelter island with awesome rooms and a much better place for walking. Nice views of their marina or the harbor from many rooms and grounds with tropical gardens.

Very clean and convenient to a variety of restaurants, fishing docks and pleasant walking. The staff is friendly and quite helpful. I would have liked a luggage rack/stand and a chair in the room. I was going fishing so did not require many amenities and the room was very affordable. I would stay again.

Great little updated motel except for the club across the street. Club Marina. Low frequency 120bpm beats until 2am. Good luck sleeping.

The location of the hotel to downtown and surrounding areas.

The only thing good about this hotel was the decent location. I can’t believe how much pain I was in trying to sleep in their bed. Pillows were horrible side of the mattress was sloping to the ground. Nothing was done about a dog being in the room next-door that barked the entire time because the people just left it there. For the price I think that they could put some new beds in decent pillows in the room.

Probably one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Pictures on hotels.com are very deceiving. Bathroom smelled like sewage, tub not cleaned properly, no sunlight, very run down. Beds were hard felt like wooden planks, pillows were just piled cotton, terrible. Only booked here because it was a holiday weekend in San Diego and other hotel prices were insane. I hated giving this place almost $300 a night for basically a motel 6. Location is great right next to the marina and an easy drive to gaslamp and other areas of San Diego, I’ll give them that, but that is the only reason for the 1 star.

Room was nice & hotel location was convenient. Parking was secure.

When we arrived at 3pm to check in there was no one at the desk for over 15 min with no indication of where they went or would be back. Multiple guests were waiting. They charge $9 for parking, which is absurd considering what we paid for the rooms. This is a converted motel and the quality of the renovations is very poor in relationship to the price. Paint was chipping on all the walls, mildew on the caulk in the bathtub, dust and mildew built up on the louvres of the air conditioner, ironing board cover was falling apart. Bed was weird and super mushy. Felt like an air mattress or water bed or something.

I recently stayed here for a mini vacation and was satisfied with the location of the hotel. Being able to walk to Shelter Island and restaurants from the hotel was an important reason for booking here. I'll be sure to return again in the future, but will request a second floor room. The only slight with my stay was being on the first floor, hearing children constantly running or playing in the room upstairs. If you can get a room by the pool, do so because the parking lot is busy at all times of the night. Rooms by the parking lot don't allow too much quiet time during summertime, lol. Fresh sheets and towels daily. Overall a great place to stay.

Lovely stay by the harbor. Coffee and brewery and restaurants all walking
-
Stayed at the Sea Harbor for a fishing excursion which is a 3 minute walk from SH

I would stay at this property again in a heartbeat!

The positive was the room seemed clean. However, the mattress on the bed was like a plywood board. The toilet paper practically fell apart in your hand before you were able to use it. They also charge $9 to park your car. I left my truck in the lot next door as I paid for a fishing trip until the next day. Wouldn't stay there again.

Great location next to a peir side brewery and seafood restaurants
-
Great location, clean facility, quiet
-
The room smelled like mold, the walls were filthy and they have a carpeted walls that are horrible and it looks like people have put their feet all over. There is sandbags at the bottom of the door and they are filthy. We walked in and walked out and the manager wouldn’t refund us

Newly refurbished, very clean, close to the airport (but not easy to get there by public transport). Free parking.

This was my second stay here. Location is convenient for me for visiting family, but I also enjoyed walking along the harbor and Shelter Island paths which are nearby. The room was clean and spacious (I chose a deluxe king this time) and the neighborhood feels safe--great for a solo traveler. Onsite parking is reasonable and convenient. I will definitely book here again for my next visit!

We had an accessible room, which seemed to be larger than the rest. We did not request one, but since I'm 81, they might have decided it would be best. There is an inexpensive grocery store directly across the street where flaky custard tarts were 0.35 Euros and a one liter Coke Zero was 0.85 Euros,
