All pool chairs reserved, even if unused. Noise from construction.

Staff were all helpful and friendly. Resort is very family friendly. Kids had a blast in the pools, lazy river, and water slides.

Me and my Son went for a quick getaway and really enjoyed it. Very family friendly. We stayed a Thursday-Sunday. It was definitely better on Thursday crowd wise because by the time Saturday came it had got packed! I would suggest getting to the pool area early to have a lounge chair, but other than that we had a good time and I’ll be going back! And love that there was a Starbucks onsite!

The pros: helpful/friendly staff/clean pools/clean rooms The cons: half resort is under construction right now and the construction is loud, and the property is so packed with people on weekends - it's hard for the staff to maintain clean property grounds - lots of empty glasses and trash left around

The hotel was not very clean, I got to my room about 5pm and at 11pm there were still the same wine and drink glasses on the floor of my hallway. Every trash can and table also had wine and drink glasses left on them. My concern was just the glasses in the floor throughout the halls because of all the children. Lastly, while in the pool, a waitress came to share that it was “last call” and took someone’s order. I attempted to place an order for my family and she responded with “um, this isn’t my section” which left me puzzled considering she just took the order of the lady next to me. We went Father’s Day weekend so maybe we will have a better experience on a non-holiday weekend. My children did enjoy all the amenities.

We had to switch rooms bc our original room smelled like sewage. The rooms were outdated and dirty. The pool was absolutely filthy on Memorial Day weekend.

The Front desk employee was slow, seemed confused and in general very inefficient. The room was avergae at best and the view was lackluster. The grounds and pool area were okay.

Our stay was 4 day with family of 4. The first two days we had to go through three different managers to get our room cleaned! We were told first time reached out, previous to management conversations, that they were not "prioritizing already checked in rooms, only prioritizing rooms that had been checked out as that was more important ". Mind you we had 3 adults and tween in our party so cleaning wasn't optional for our party...with a $520 price tag each night. It took 2 days to get to finally get our room cleaned after basically begging for it to be done. Amber, front desk manager, finally took care of us and got us on schedule last two days with a $150 comp on bill. Once it was finally addressed room servicing was great and very tidy! Food at 18 Oaks was amazing!! Cannot recommend enough! Be sure to book on OpenTable for reservations as walking in isn't viable option to guarantee a table.

Golf course had a great layout but the upkeep was worse than a municipal course. Weeds everywhere, poorly maintained fairways and tee boxes. Wouldn’t ever play it again. Paid 380 per player wouldn’t play it for more than 75

First of all, we were not made aware that the majority of the resort was under construction and that between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, there would be nonstop construction which meant jackhammers vibrating the entire resort. I understand that remodeling is required as I’m a contractor myself but a warning would have been appropriate under the circumstances. And maybe the fact that our flights were delayed and we didn’t arrive until 4:00 am didn’t help with the waking up to jackhammers at 9:00 am. And an afternoon nap was out of the question… Secondly, there’s no free WiFi in the rooms unless you sign up for their program and book directly through their site. We booked our trip through Expedia so we had to pay for WiFi. Motel 6 has free WiFi… Another issue is the fact that there’s no snacks after the gift store closes. My family wanted some snacks (chips and candy) at 9:15 pm, but was told we were out of luck. And the drink machine on our floor was out of drinks. Most disappointing part was the $140 t-bone that I ordered at 18 Oaks. Worst one I’ve ever eaten. Ordered it medium and it was well done with zero flavor and 69% fat, didn’t even look like at-bone. We did enjoy the pool area and the breakfast buffet. Room was clean, bed was comfy. All staff was friendly and helpful. However, I would not stay again, but would get the day pass for the pool area.

I have been a visitor to the JW since 2014. While it’s great and I mean fantastic place to be with young children, I have noticed over the years that the property has become increasingly overcrowded. You pay a lot for the amenities and I understand that; the property itself is beautiful and that costs money to maintain however, there are just way too many people. So if you don’t mind feeling like you are at an amusement park this is a perfect place to stay with your family.
