Best Western Plus St. Simons

Didn't eat breakfast

We loved our stay at Best Western. The staff was top notch! The pool was the biggest plus for us!!! We spent a lot of time there. The 24/7 coffee bar in the lobby was an added bonus. We were confused about a fitness center on property but found one near by. The only complaint was the water pressure was pretty low and took awhile to heat up. Other than that we had a great stay and can’t wait to come back!

I stayed here with my mother and my 7 month old baby for a three night vacation. The hotel was fine overall, but it felt dated, poorly updated in areas, and not as clean as I expected. We booked a standard room with two queen beds. The room was acceptable but seemed somewhat outdated and slightly dirty. The major issue occurred on our second night when I accidentally spilled a water bottle on one of the beds. We removed the bedding so we could request fresh, dry linens. When we pulled back the sheets, we discovered there was no mattress protector. The mattress underneath was in absolutely abysmal condition, with extensive staining, discoloration, and marks that resembled dried blood. I had already spent a night sleeping in that bed with my infant, so I was understandably horrified. We calmly brought the issue to housekeeping, and even they appeared shocked by the mattress's condition. A manager came to inspect it and offered to move us, but there was little apology or acknowledgment of how concerning the situation was. After I advocated for a better solution, we were moved to a king suite. While I understand upgrades aren't required, it felt reasonable given the circumstances. After our stay, Expedia provided 75 OneKeyCash as a goodwill gesture. The hotel declined any compensation, stating they had already upgraded our room.

Staff is very friendly and always available to help with anything! Amazing plus is the coffee machine in the lobby that is available all day! All kinds of great breakfast options and the pool area is awesome!

This is my MUST stay hotel on St. Simons!!

This location in St. Simon Island is idllic,lovely, and convenient to get to, "kinda tucked away but not really" just perfect the place,rooms,pool area etc area all close knit together that its easy to get around but still private enough to enjoy the "serenity of the place. MOST! ENJOYABLE STAY.

Room was clean, staff was very welcoming & friendly. And the breakfast was great.

The staff for breakfast was staying behind and this happened every morning which we had breakfast 4 days.

Our room was clean and beautifully decorated in modern motif - beds were great! The pool area is really pretty with comfortable seating to chill in a big patio area! We enjoyed the breakfast, big variety of food! Loved our stay!

St Simons Island's Best Western hotel was a great and comforting experience ~ as my St Simons home AC went haywire and stopped cooling ~ due to malfunction of the system's Computer Board that lost all functional data...Spent 2 nights at Best Western hotel on Main Street, St Simons Island ~ had a new functional computer board properly aligned ~ and our home is COOL again !! The evening and night shift ladies welcomed me to Best Western, and I had a great ropm that was inviting, and a cool rest, and wonderful freshly brewed coffee in the early morning ~ it really felt like a warm home away from home. Thank you, Liz, and my sweet West Highland Terrier, Rosie, she had a Great time too. Wishing everyone continued Blessings, Liz & Rosie

The bed was way too firm. I didn't get much sleep on any night I was there.

Next time I would bring a swiffer with the wet sheets. I’m not sure if the floor is mopped after every guest and I would just feel better if I mopped prior to “moving in”

The first night was not great..our AC in the room broke. We let them know first thing that morning and they had it fixed in under an hour..while we were enjoying the wonderful pool!!! Location is fantastic and the staff was absolutely amazing!!! The breakfast was just ok. All around i would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Every staff member we encountered was super nice and helpful. The pool was great. The room was very small but we didn't spend much time in it so it was fine. Our shower was not clean and that was the biggest downfall. It has very visible mold in several places. It was so obvious I'm not sure how it was missed.
