The place wasn’t clean the sheets had wholes all over it. It was roaches in the bathroom they didn’t make the bed and they left the sheets in a bag by the door and the sink was stopped up

The room smelled like smoke & the sheets had holes. The comforter was dirty .. the tub look dirty also. Dont stay there at all !

We tried using the microwave, but it didn’t spin or heat correctly, and the remote for the tv was sticky. The top lock on the door was broken. During the night, my 4 year old and myself got bit by bed bugs. He has three little bites across his face. My daughter and husband didn’t seem to get any. There were people drinking and smoking all night outside, so you won’t get much sleep if you’re a light sleeper. We paid $111 dollars for one night here. A complete waste of money, and not safe or clean for anyone, especially not kids and babies. The positives are the water pressure was nice, there was a mediocre-ish coffee machine in the office when it’s open; and the shampoo, body wash, and hand soap dispensers in the room.

I am writing to express my formal dissatisfaction regarding my recent one-night stay at the Red Roof Inn Richmond South. My experience with your staff was disappointing; the front desk was neither helpful nor courteous upon my arrival or departure. Specifically, my requests for a specific bed type and a ground-floor room necessitated by a disability that makes climbing stairs difficult were ignored. The condition of the room was also unacceptable. The wall thermostat was broken, and the air conditioning unit was so loud it disturbed my sleep. Additionally, the bathroom floor tiles were loose and, the bathtub appeared to be unclean. I previously sent an email to management regarding these issues and am still awaiting a response to the letter you sent me. Please let me know if you would like me to resend that correspondence. I hope you will take this feedback seriously to improve the service and maintenance at this location. Sincerely, LaMarise Veney 703.505.7156 Cell

The room was clean, and the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. One of the biggest positives was the pricing. The rate was very reasonable, and I appreciated the value for the money. The main difference I noticed compared to past Red Roof stays was the room fragrance. It’s been a few years since I’ve stayed at a Red Roof Inn and primarily they have been in Virginia Beach, but I don’t remember those rooms having the same scent. To be clear, it was not a bad, dirty, or musty smell, and the room appeared clean. It seemed more like a cleaning product or air freshener that just wasn’t particularly appealing to me. The bed was okay and provided a decent night’s sleep, but the A/C making a distinct noise kept waking me up, but I'm a light sleeper. I would likely stay here again for a quick overnight stop because of the excellent pricing and great staff. However, it probably wouldn’t be my top choice for a full-day or multi-night stay. Overall, it was a clean, affordable hotel with friendly service and good value for the price.
