The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the facility was large and clean. As it says in the name, this place is a youth hostel, which to be honest I had no idea what to expect when booking it. For starters, there was a LOT of youths. My entire floor was just a bunch of rowdy teenagers who looked like they were in highschool. They were always congregating in the halls, making snarky remarks when I walked by (they thought I was Japanese because I'm asian, so they'd shout out Japanase words to me to be "funny"), and they would go from room to room as if they owned the whole floor. They were really annoying and inconsiderate overall. This place is also REALLY far from the city center. I stayed in Osaka primarily for the 2025 World Expo, and it was a 1.5 hour commute one-way. To get to Dotomburi (the tourist area), it was a 45min commute one-way. This is obviously a huge oversight on my part and I was kicking myself for making such a silly mistake and booking such a faraway hostel. The other thing that sucks is that this place has a midnight curfew. Coupled with the fact that everything is so far away, it means you'll have to stop what you're doing at like 10:30-11:00pm to make it back before they lock you out. There's also a few weird rules in place that make it annoying to stay here, probably because it's a hostel for youths. The front desk is on the 10th floor of the building, and the hostel rooms are on the 9th, which is totally fine. But to leave the building, you can't just go to the 1st floor from the 9th, you HAVE to go up to the 10th floor to drop off your room key before leaving. They actually programmed the elevator so that you can only go up to the 10th floor. Once you're on the 10th floor, then you drop off your key and go down to the 1st floor. This means that when you get back from a day out, you have to visit the 10th floor first, pick up your key, then go down to the 9th floor where you room is. It's an annoying process, but I understand it's for security reasons.

Clean and spacious. Value for money! If you need a place to crash near Shin Osaka Station this is a great option! 1. The location, it’s quite confusing ?? 2. Rooms in 9th floor but shower room in 10th floor.
-
curfew and shower time before 12am, and have to leave your room&shower between 6-10am only. It's really inconvenience for who reached there late night or have to go out early in the morning.

Communal bath was great! Little interaction with staff and could barely understand them

Staff was very kind. There is a curfew at midnight but it is not a problem if you are a smoker, there is a dedicated smoking room inside the building. They let me drop my luggage before check-in time so I was able to enjoy my day without carrying it around everywhere. Place was clean, you can also buy food and drinks from the reception. I have nothing bad to say, I enjoyed my stay. wifi connection was good too.

Some of the staff were really friendly, I was really happy with chatting with one of the staff about the trip. I really like the location. It is near the shin-osaka shinkansen but not too near that you hear the train. The coin-lockers and free lockers were a good touch. I didn't like that I needed to walk one level down for the showers, and there was only one shower. I didn't like that I had to pass the keys to my room and locker to the staff before leaving the premises. I didn't like that there was a curfew and that they would lock the gates, and you can only use the room from 16:00-10:00 because they need to clean from 10:00-1600. I also didn't like that I had to change my own sheets and pillow sheets.

The hostel is just 10 minutes on foot from the Shin Osaka station. The place is outstandingly managed, and the staff is always keen on giving you a hand. Although there was a bit of a language barrier, they bent over backwards to find a way to communicate with me, which I really appreciate. The rooms were big and comfortable; there were lockers in the room, and each room had a lock on the door. After a long day of sightseeing around the city, I enjoyed the large bathroom at night. I have no complaints about the place.

Every spot was clean and tidy. The staff is very organized and attentive. The bath was the best. The hotel is located in a convenient location, and easy to access to public transport. They allowed us to store our luggage before our checking hour. The time for entering the hotel every day was until 12 pm and leaving at 5:45 am. This sometimes limited our plans and transport options as the lift would be locked, and we weren't unable to exit or enter during this time.

The place is quiet and located very comfortably close to the station. The design of the hostel is old, but I found a special charm in it. The host Tanaka-San was very kind to me and explain everything in detail.
