Hilltop Inn and Suites, near Foxwoods Casino

Do not stay here unless desperate! Very old and outdated MOTEL. The outside grounds and inside rooms are seriously lacking in maintenance. Let's start with check-in. No customers in lobby, yet the extremely rude lady working at the desk never greeted us with a hello or welcome. The room she had us in is not what was requested when reservations were made. I had my 84 year old handicapped mother with me and had requested a handicapped accessible room on the bottom floor. She had us on 2nd floor, with no elevator access. After an ordeal, she finally put us in a 1st floor room. The room stank of musty, mildew, and cigarette smoke. Awful!! The room was large and the beds comfortable. Bathroom was dirty! No safety grab bars in tub/shower or anywhere in bathroom. Very slippery in shower! No microwave in room. Small fridge was dirty with crumbs. Used bar of soap was on the sink when we arrived. If you stay here, bring your own toilet paper! The stuff they use, you can literally read thru it and it disintegrates on contact with skin. Stayed at this place 3 nights and the room key card never worked! Had to ask housekeeping or the same rude nasty lady at the front desk, to let us in to room every time. She refused to give us new WORKING cards, and she gave us attitude and was very disrespectful every encounter we had. I would NEVER recommend Hilltop Inn & Suites to anybody!!!

I just wish they had a pool.

And not only was she rude to me, but another customer had a problem with the toilet being clogged, and she handed him a plumber and told him to plummet themselves. Her name was Candace. But the driver to the casino was absolutely excellent. She was friendly answer the questions gave you history and was just a great person. Her name was Melody. Also, the grounds was just OK. They really should invest in some kind of seeing for the people have rooms out back. It’s just a big parking lot no chairs to sit on if you have to hang around the hotel until you have an event or what you would come there for out front only has a small little bench

The only complaint I have is the beds were hard so I didnt sleep well. Overall a good place for the price point.

Clean room and service was amazing.

No-frills accommodation, decent continental breakfast. Quite pricey, but I think that’s due to the proximity to Mystic.

It’s not the cleanest hotel. The reception guy clearly gave away my room because he looked alarmed when I came to check in late. And then proceeded to do something for a long time on computer. Warm water didn’t work at night and there was someone’s pubic hair on the bed 😭

No WiFi and terrible cell service; rooms smelled funky and are worn down and old. Wall paper peeling, mold in the bathrooms. Front desk wasn’t especially helpful with questions and seemed flustered.

Staff was great breakfast items were OK more fresh fruit.

I was surprised to see that there was a shuttle bus to the casino. I love it. Just to know that we didn’t have to drive to it.

Clean and comfortable. Short drive to Foxwoods and Mystic. Breakfast was okay. No protein options. Overall a good option for the price.

staff was very helpful. It is remote. You have one option from the Italian restaurant literally across the street which was excellent. Otherwise, you have to drive.

Everyone always very pleasant

WiFi was a bit spotty and the TV was a bit outdated but we enjoyed the stay and will definitely be coming back for future stays. Short ride to RI beaches and to Foxwoods.
