Internally first impression Stale smell of smoke. Looked very tired and in need of major improvement. So the choice is cheap against rundown! On returning from day out, noticed signs saying rooms by the hour. Then when walking to room heard sexual noises, you make your own mind what type of hotel this is. One pro is the proximity to to subway (Mott Avenue) only 50-100 paces depending on your stride. Can’t think of another Pro. Conclusion is I wouldn’t go there again!! EVER!!

The floor was sticky, it smelled strongly of Pine Sol, except the bathroom, which smelled like pot. There was one half of a working power outlet in the whole room. Everything is chipped and worn. Toilet roll holder is broken. Worst incident was the TV coming on by itself in the middle of the night. Twice. We did not have a TV remote, because they only give them out with a deposit, though they didn't tell us that at check-in. Front desk had no explanation for self-activating TV, and couldn't actually answer any questions. SO much shouting on the street corner on a Sunday night. Loud airplane noise, to be expected. The A Line across the street was surprisingly quiet, and made it very convenient to get to JFK. This place is a last resort.

There is no where to park , you have to pay for the remote to use the tv , it smells like smoke up on entrance of the building , one microwave to heat up food , a mildew smell In The hallway of the hotel . You can’t request wash cloths because there is never no one at the front desk. There is no phone in the rooms . Refrigerator doesn’t work .

After arriving from JFK Airport by Uber, we immediately started noticing serious issues around the property. There were numerous homeless individuals and people who appeared to be under the influence of drugs gathered near the front entrance and lobby area. This did not feel like a safe or comfortable environment. Before checking in, I asked the front desk employee if I could see the room first. She agreed, and a staff member escorted us upstairs. As soon as the door was opened, I knew this was not a place where I wanted to stay. I immediately returned to the front desk and requested a full refund without ever occupying the room. What concerned me even more was seeing signage showing different room rental periods (4 hours, half-day, full-day, etc.), which raised additional concerns for me about the type of establishment this was. The front desk informed me that because I booked through Hotels.com, I would need to contact them directly regarding my refund. I left the property immediately and booked another Uber to a different hotel. As of this review, I am still waiting for my refund. Based on my personal experience, I would not stay here and cannot recommend this property. I would also be cautious when booking through Hotels.com. I have used Expedia many times in the past without issues, and after this experience I will be returning to Expedia for future travel bookings.

Let me start by saying that this hotel is nothing like the advertisement shows. I gave it a one star because 0 was not an option. The whole place is run down. The room was less than clean and uncomfortable. The floor was sticky. There was hair in both beds, flat pillows, and no blankets. The bathroom door handle fell off every time we closed the door. The front desk woman was rude. There was a sign with hourly rates and when we asked to check in early because we arrived at 1:30, we had to pay in cash only. Hmmm… I wonder why. There was an inch of dust on all fixtures including the bed frame. They never cleaned the room during our 5 day stay and we had ask clean towels everyday, which were the size of a hand towel. The only good was the bodega next door and the A line being right across the street. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!!

Hotel was really, really bad. They even had a sign at check in with “hourly rates” from 1 hour on up. Lots of smells. Right next to subway. Neighborhood remains quite active at all hours - even an ice cream truck was driving by around 1:30 am. One towel had debris and numerous mystery brown stains. Burn holes in comforter AND sheets. Hair in the bed, on the floor, in the bathroom (small balls of hair that should’ve been collected in basic cleaning). The security Flip lock on door missing the all-important flipping part - so no basic security for the room. Low temperature shower. Dirt pileup behind bed and stands. Did not see any active bedbugs, but residual questions about residues remain. Great air conditioning!
