Small rooms but modern clean hotel.

My problem with Hotel 38 was the lack of amenities. I have stayed in similar sorts of compact type rooms in New York but this one went overboard on being under equipped. No coffee machine, refrigerator, or drawers. But, at least they can bring a mini fridge to your room? Nope. I was offered the use of the staff fridge down on the lobby level floor. No drawers but at least a closet? Nope. Just hangers attached to the wall next to the tv. As a Hilton, even a specialty one like the Tapestry, I expected more. I was told Tapestry Hiltons are small and minimal. But, I have stayed in others, including the Bernic on this trip, that are fully equipped and spacious. This is not the fault of anyone working there. All employees were fine. It is good that Hilton has many other options in Manhattan as I will not return to this one.

No where to sit and eat. No microwave or sink to wash your hands after you get to your hotel room to eat…. No kitchenette’s amenities. AC gets very cold or maybe because the room is very small it gets very cold right away. No WiFi you gotta pay, but hotel WiFi is decent speed. Bathroom door you gotta push it in or jam a between the cracks so it can hold otherwise the door open and because the rooms are very small you can hear when someone is in the bathroom and smell it too. Rated 3/5 because of the bed comfort very comfy.
