Holiday Inn Express Nashville Airport by IHG

This hotel was AWFUL. I hardly leave reviews but I have to on this one. I reserved in advance a room for myself and my dog with a balcony, so we could relax after traveling by car for days. I was given a courtyard facing balcony which didn't help with privacy, but that's just preference. I didn't like facing into the courtyard. I also paid extra for the balcony. That first room was also directly across from a loud and busy ice machine. The room smelled so bad of B.O. and God knows what, so i requested a room change and the first lady at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating as best she could. She moved my room to an accessible room, no balcony, but it's away from ice machines. They still charged me for the balcony room afterwards. The accessible room also smelled, and had a dirty bathroom. I could hardly sleep that night, and was so bothered by the lack of cleanliness that I slept on top of the bedding, cold and pissed. The only reason I stayed is because I'd been driving for 11 straight hours and needed to rest somehow. The breakfast was lackluster. The sausage and omelet was stale, but the cinnamon rolls were warm. The lady who was at the front desk at checkout was rude, she was also there when I called back about additional charges reflecting on my bank acct but not on my receipt and was short and just hung up the phone. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. This was a stinky, unnecessarily expensive, unrestful stay. Worst hotel stay I've ever had.

Worst Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed at. Old, rotton, nothing works. Needs maintenance. Pool was green when we arrived, closed the rest of the days. A/C in Lobby/Breakfast area didn't work, breakfast was terrible.There is no airport shuttle.. Even though they advertise this. Black mold in hallway, outdoor area has orange extension cords hanging from balcony to powder string lights, ghetto.

The hotel is convenient. It was not very clean. The parking lot needs security.

Our room was nice; unfortunately there were 2 dogs in the room across the hall from us that barked for 3 hours non stop. Around 9:30 in the evening we asked to be moved to another room, which the staff was happy to do. The staff was polite and professional; it was just just a double whammy with the shuttle being unavailable and with the barking dogs.

At the end of the review, the dates for this link were given as June 1-2. The hotel on this occasion was fine. The room was clean. The staff and services were as helpful as possible for the middle of the night. Check-out was easy. The unsatisfactory element of this stay was transportation. I have walking restrictions, and was using an airport wheelchair. I called 3 times to notify the driver and ask for more information about pick-up as my spouse and I are unfamiliar with the Nashville airport. When the van arrived, a number of people crowded the driver and the luggage door, pushing us back. There was no step-stool for entering nor anything highlighting the van steps. Even though I fell on the steps, I was able to climb into the van with help from another passenger. My husband nearly fell as he was entering because there was no step-stool and no highlighting of the van steps. It would also be welcoming to visitors if we were given first attention and the local residents *riding the van to pick up their cars parked at the hotel* waited back, especially for a person with a disability.

However, on the second stay (this review), when we entered the room, there were bleach fumes strong enough to knock us back. Immediately, we opened the window despite the heat and coming rainstorm. I reported the problem to the reception desk, but it was *more than an hour later* before someone replied by text offering another room. By that time, the open window, wind from the rainstorm, and high AC had almost eradicated the fumes and we elected to remain undesturbed.

I didn’t feel our room was clean and I itched terribly in the sheets on my bed . Also during the night I killed a large spider near the bathroom. Personally, I would never want to stay there again, The staff was very nice, just the maintenance needs to be better.

Gnats all over near the beer in the lobby, broken plug in shower, not the cleanest

No mention of shuttlle to airport out of service

TV was difficult and channels did not match the card

The breakfast was delicious.

Airport shuttle not operating , was not informed prior to check in and arrange last min transportation for for flight

Staff was friendly! Room was good, outlet coming off wall and carpet stains. Bed comfortable. Pool nice only outside. Overall good stay if you have an early flight. Plenty of restaurants nearby

The hotel was fresh smelling, rooms very clean. Staff went above and beyond. Buffet style breakfast and free coffee 24/7!! Will definitely stay again!!
