Hyatt Place South Bend / Mishawaka

For a family of 6 this is the only hotel that has the perfect space for us so clean and well maintained

The front desk woman when we stayed was amazing!! She did a great job after we had a very long day of driving in rainy weather she was more than helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was ok but wish there would have been maybe cereal for our kids.

Staff was kind, rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel is showing its age a little. My only complaint was the included breakfast — choices were more limited than your typical continental breakfast which caused us to have to eat breakfast off site.

The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired in the room and the gym cannot be used due to overheating, without air conditioning.

The bed and pillows were excellent. The breakfast was kind of bland and kid's choice were limiited.

Nice property. Everything was good. Room was large and enjoyed the quick stay.

Staff was very friendly. Our first impression of the hotel was relief because of our previous nights experience at a different hotel. We enjoyed our stay and experience so much we plan to stay at other Hyatt on our journeys.

Property needs some updates. Overall staff was very friendly. Ice machines were down and one of the housekeepers offered to grab me ice from the main floor which was very thoughtful and appreciated. Main lobby area is well kept but the halls had soft spots in the floor, carpet was dirty, had a funky odor in the room and just overall not impressed especially for the cost. Not up to the brand name. I would not stay again, especially at that price.

We’ve stayed at this location before so usually it’s a safe pick, however this time was disappointing. The room wasn’t as clean (hair on the floor, debris behind bathroom door) and there wasn’t even toilet paper or soap in the room to start off with. Then our hotel was overrun by a travel baseball team & their families drinking, yelling, causing havoc. We couldn’t even pull our car up to the door because the drunk dads were playing cornhole in front of the entrance. We have a disabled elderly person in our group who can’t walk far, so this was a major issue. The sidewalks and entrance in the back were also blocked by these same families tailgating. I get that this isn’t the hotel’s fault, but they didn’t do anything about it either. To add to this, they were letting their teenage boys play “ding-dong- ditch” late into the evening where the boys were running down the hallways, pounding on random doors and running away. I heard the poor woman sobbing next door because she couldn’t get any sleep. Again, it’s the parents fault, but we won’t be coming back here.

Breakfast was good being that it was complementary, though the price of the room did not seem to reflect a complimentary meal. We have stayed at different Hyatts. Last October, I paid the same amount or less for the same type of room in downtown Indianapolis. The room was much cleaner and it was ready without any issues. I did not like that when we came in, the receptionist had to text another staff member to see if a room was ready for us. We checked in well over an hour after check in time. She did explain that they were fully booked up the night before, but the way it was worded was unprofessional. The pool area lacked cleanliness. If a hotel is that busy, it seems like someone should be working on keeping a pool clean multiple times throughout the day.

Great atmosphere!

It is located directly across from several stores and restaurants. The cleanliness was concerning—between hair on my bathroom floor, to a dirty refrigerator and dirty silverware.
