Everything excellent

What a great find! The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was larger than expected for the NYC area. Great location close to Greenpoint. Area was very walkable. Rooftop area is lovely. We didn’t eat/drink there, but on a nice day that would have been very nice. We will definitely stay there again.

Location and availability of services in the neighborhood. The room with king bed was very very small even for two people. Rooms have hard flooring and virtually no carpeting, but no slippers were provided; this forced us to walk across the floor bare feet and get into bed with dirty feet. The floor was not very clean as I evidenced with my white socks. The staff was not reachable at the front desk via room phone after 11PM. I had to call the hotel through the outside line to reach them! Housekeeping would not consistently provide floor towel for the shower; I had to resort to using a bath towel for that. The restaurant upstairs leaves much to be desired. They are adequate but not very good.

Good location in LIC, close to several subways stations, downtown LIC, and the water front. The highlight of the stay was the friendly staff. Douglas at the front desk made me feel like at home, I would consider returning just for the friendly staff. The breakfast is served by friendly staff as well, at a nice room at the top floor. Took a bit long for the shower to have warm water in my room.
-
The room was truly tiny and hard to move around for two people. You would have to remove the chair in order to get by between the bed and the desk. That was the only minus.
-
Close location to the subway. I was attending an event close to the hotel & its location to both the subway & venue was what made me choose this hotel. The room was perfect for a quick stay. Douglas was very friendly during check-in.

I wanted to give this hotel 5 stars because the staff couldnt have been nicer and more helpful. Literally. So amazing. However, our room's AC was broken and apparently ours wasn't the only one, they just couldnt get somone out to fix it. Thankfully the fan would turn on everything so often but our room never got below 75.

Room was not prepared when I arrived, coffee makers did not work, room was hot and noisy in the AM.
-
We also enjoyed the vibrant life of Long Island City more than I thought we would. It's lively without being touristy. And the proximity to the East River, with its views of the Manhattan skyline, and the New York City Ferry system was another unexpected plus!
-
Towels were a bit rough and had strange detergent smell. Market food options were very limited.

Stayed there twice. First time was no issues. Second time I checked into a room where the A/C wasn't working but as soon as I told the front desk, someone came up and tried to fix it. When they couldn't fix it they switched us to a new room. The staff did a great job pivoting and overall I'd stay there again

Douglas was super welcoming and fun to talk with about New York and was very helpful in all things. I greatly appreciated it, and put me in good spirits immediately and helped me see this as one of my best New York stays in recent memory. The room was adequate, well supplied and clean. The bed was comfy. Water pressure was good. On my side of the building there is an elevated roadway which you can hear cars drive by throughout the night, which for me was not a problem since I wear ear plugs, but for some sensitive people I think it's good to point out. I think it only affects one side of the building. I didn't use any of the hotel facilities, because I was too busy exploring New York. There a multiple subway lines that are within a very short walk of the hotel and can get you into Manhattan in less than 10 minutes. You can pick up groceries at Target or Trader Joes, or choose from the many nearby restaurants including the Court Square Diner which is a must!

The only downside was the noise in the room. The building is close to a highway, and the windows do not block the noise very well. We stayed on the second floor, and after the first night we asked to move to a higher room. The staff helped us quickly and moved us to the fourth floor. The noise was still noticeable, but we managed it by using earplugs. Overall, we had a very good stay and really appreciated the staff and the hotel’s location.

Good hotel in Long Island city well located close to metro station. Rooms are a bit small but comfortable. Great bed.
-
Staff and checkin are excellent. Friendly and extremely courteous. Was not fond of the barn door bathroom door. Convenient and close to everything including transit.
-
Great hotel! It had everything we needed and it was in the perfect location. Will definitely be staying here again.
-
Only negative was the hotel being next to the highway so little bit noisy until around midnight and again early morning. But they do provide earplugs

Check-in went well and easily got into our room when I started noticing some things: the in-room safe was jammed, attempting to talk to the front desk was thwarted due to the fact that the phone had no connecting cord. We reported that on our way out to dinner. The safe got replaced but the phone was on a list to be repaired. We settled down then noticed that the new tv has no power. After looking around the back, I found the power cord sticking out of the wall, waiting for the final hookup. Plugging it in gave me power but no signal. Looking further in the back, I saw several loose coax cables with only one coming from the wall. Unhooking the cable from the tv that went nowhere, the wall coax connection was a success. Nice bed and pillows but it would be nicer if the AC wasn’t blowing directly on the person sleeping closest to it (that was me). The bathroom was very clean and organized well. Our first shower, though, didn’t go well for we found a puddle of water once the shower was finished. Thinking that it was my fault I resolved to make sure the shower door was closed tightly for the next day. The leak still continued the next morning however, making a big puddle which we mopped up with an extra towel. The door was sealed properly but it appears that the water comes through the bottom seal. The workout room was A+
