Comfort Inn Herndon - Reston

Our room was wonderful. The only complaint I have is with the bathroom It really needed towel bars.and our last 2 there was no syrup for the waffles.

It was cheap It was dirty and run down. Parking wasnt great.

Staff here is friendly and very helpful when needed. Conveniently located on the Elden st strip in old town Herndon with many restaurants, shops and bars. Basic buffet breakfast along with yogurts, fruit, coffee and juice. Nice touch is the waffle iron to make your own waffles. Best to book online where you can find a deal on better rates. At night all the doors are locked and none of the side door key readers work, so you have to knock loudly and be buzzed in by the front desk. A little annoying when trying to get in after a night out. Also the phone did not work in the room.

Room was clean, however: Bare wires hanging from elevator button on 3rd floor, which couldn't be used. No vent in bathroom, which turned bathroom into a steambath while showering. Distinct and powerful odor of Marijuana permeating the hallway of 3rd floor. An older man sleeping in a chair in main lobby for minimum of three hours, creating a very uncomfortable atmosphere.

It was connected to an apartment building which was not disclosed on the website and there were people loitering out front who were not guests. Also the whole place smelled unclean

Nice room and reasonable price

Staff is courteous and helpful so no complaints there. Property overall appears a bit worn down, interior is clean but trash is visible in the parking lot. Room is clean and pleasant but dryer in guest laundry is not working properly, clothing was still damp after two drying cycles. Breakfast wasn't especially appealing. Hot waffles were OK but other hot food items looked quite nasty.

The breakfast was only so-so, Waffles were great but the eggs were cold. The room was clean and the one problem I had was fixed immediately by staff. the air conditioning was more than adequate. over all it was a pleasant stay.

Breakfast is terrible. The corners in the room were not clean. Bathroom was suprisendly clean and checked it with Ultra violet light. Pillows are cheap materials and old and smelly. I had to cover it with a towel. Behind the desk was a red t-shirt forgotten by the prev. occupant.

Staff not so hospitable however the property and location overall were good for a 1 to 2 night stay.
