Maswik Lodge - Inside the Park

We LOVED this place. Our room was about a 60 second walk to the rim of the Grand Canyon which made it easy for each person in our family to do as much or as little as they wanted. We were given a room with a view of the Grand Canyon Railway tracks from the balcony, which was an extra treat for our train-obsessed 8 year old son who loved waving at the train as it arrived and left each day. The food options offered by the hotel were very good, and all the other Grand Canyon Village restaurants were only a short walk away. We highly recommend staying here - it was a perfect Grand Canyon vacation experience.

Great location and everything was very clean.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating, especially since the power was out in the whole Grand Canyon area! We enjoyed our stay despite the lack of utilities, and the staff did a great job making our stay enjoyable.

Quiet, clean

Maswik was a great choice for our family! The location to the bus was convenient and the rooms were so cute and we loved the porch.

Room is clean. Basic supply. One coffee maker.

Cute location and clean rooms. Very close to the shuttles (red and blue lines). Food court was ok food but workers grouchy. The Pizza Pub was excellent and Sophia was a wonderful server! Good pizza and drink options.

Every single staff member of the team was top notch hospitality at its finest!

Good location.

The best part about this place is how accessible everything is. It’s literally a 5-minute walk to the Grand Canyon itself. The shuttle stops are right next to the lodge, including the Blue line and the highly recommended Red line. The Red shuttle is a massive plus because it takes you to viewpoints where private cars aren't allowed, so you either have to walk or take that specific bus. Parking was also close to our room and very convenient. A few things to keep in mind: the shower area is pretty dark, and there’s no kitchenette in the room, so you’ll need to plan your meals ahead of time. Also, if you need to do laundry, there are public laundromats in the park, but no machines in the hotel itself. Bottom line: This is an amazing option if you want to sleep right inside the park and have perfect access to the canyon and the shuttles while leaving your car parked. Just keep the minor room quirks in mind!

Food service was not very good. Choices were predominantly "bar" food. Scrambled eggs (poor choice) were overcooked. Potatoes were ok.

We were celebrating our 47th anniversary and loved our stay at the Maswik Lodge in the Grand Canyon Park! The Canyon was such a short stroll away, and the Lodge had a food court with so many delicious choices at reasonable prices! We stayed two nights and had everything we needed right there! Once we checked in, we never even used our car till we checked out and left:) We are so happy we found this place on Expedia and would definitely stay here again!

Clean and updated

The property was newer, and the rooms were well appointed. Would definitely stay here again. I think they’re probably nicer than the lodges that are sitting directly on the canyon room.

Would definitely stay again! So close to the rim that you can walk. There is also a shuttle that picks you up right outside the hotel to take you to the other side of the park near the visitor center. The shuttle goes past 9:00 pm. Lovely hotel! Quiet, beautiful, clean! Get a balcony!
