The overall experience was nice, the only real negative thing I can say was that the breakfast buffet wasn’t very good; especially considering it costed extra.

The staff keep the property very clean inside and out . This applies to rooms. Whatever the age of the building the cleanliness is a reflection of the people working there; they care. The staff are friendly, professional while and engage in enjoyable person to person chats. Breakfast buffet style or choose from a menu. A lesser acceptable fee was charged for cereal, yogurt and juice but unsure if the choice and fee was on the menu. It was heard breakfast could be included for a fee. Other meals appeared to available but unknown. A preferred in room safe is replaced with a dual keyed, security lock box system located near the front reception desk. You retain one of the 2 keys. Any concerns about this trip were quickly removed when arriving at the Hotel and for that matter throughout Chicago. Hotel staff and people of Chicago were kind, friendly, helpful while in most cases conversational. Evanston has a University. It is very quiet. One would suspect due to the time of year, mid June, there were not many people on the streets day or night. There is an AMC theatre. With respects to Hotel location and travel; from the end of the Howard (Red Line) then transfer to the (Purple Line) Linden line, 2 or 3 stops @ Davis. Buying a multi day Train Pass from Thursday to Monday morning was $15 to $20.

Lastly the pool wasn’t operational until the last day of our stay. That was truly disappointing as we chose this particular hotel because it had a pool. I feel like establishments should let visitors know in case they want to change their reservation. Anyway overall a pleasant place to stay.

Very clean space and accommodating staff
-
Lived up to the billing, in a really walkable area and very close to the Metra and L station. Pool isn't big but did well for our two children.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and professional. There wasn't anything we asked for such as extra towels that the staff didn't immediately bring to our room. The staff went out of their way to offer tips about local restaurants and attractions. The rooms were large and clean!! I'll be staying here every time I'm in the area.

Clean room, friendly staff convenient parking. The only issue was the tub drain did not work adequately which was a bummer but overall very nice place to stay convenient and walkable movie theater right down the street as well as many eateries. I would definitely stay here again.

My stay was very nice, my room was very clean and if I needed anything I received it.

Price increase 100 dollars a night without notification. Heard other hotel stayers complain but didn't give much thought to it until I received my bill. Saturday night went to the "restaurant" at 8:15 for some food, was told that the kitchen was closed even though they still had a sign outside saying that the restaurant was open 7 days a week to everybody until 10pm. 16 dollars for a very run of the mill breakfast buffet. 84 dollars to park Friday night until Sunday morning.

The hotel is in a nice location to downtown Evanston, the staffs are friendly, the room is big, but the bed is a little soft to sleep in.

Entered the room to a horrible mildew smell. Though we said we had 4 in our party, only 3 towels were included. At 1AM, the smoke detector started chirping. Seems it had been doing this previously as someone before us had tried to put tape over the holes where the sound emitted. We informed staff in the morning and though they said maintenance would look at it, that night the chirping started at 3AM. Horrendous experience.

Overall Every thing was ok Elevator need to be replace or fix looks very old and noisy

2) Was told that they ran out of sausage links when it was mentioned that the serving tray was empty Note: the lady serving on the morning of May 31st was more helpful and friendly 3) Front desk could be more helpful and professional 4) Issue with water leaks in the room. Suggesting that a complete inspection of each room to avoid surprises such as flooding on the floor.
