The front desk staff were helpful in locating restaurants for varying diets. Parking was easy and on site. We had a lovely stay.

The Julien is very nice and the staff were friendly. The property is showing a bit of wear and tear, however. We will definitely stay there again.

For this being a luxury hotel the customer service and experience was sub par at the front desk and restaurant. The TV did not work in our room for one and a half days. Hotel was waiting for a certain employee to come in to help with that. Management was unresponsive to our request to speak with them.

We enjoyed our stay but we were very disappointed there was no microwave in the room. Thought for the fairly significant cost for one Thursday night, there should at least be a microwave in the room.

Our room, the elevators and hallways are in need of updating. The bed was just okay, but the pillows were flat. There was also toothpaste on the inner rim of the sink from a previous guest. Not our favorite stay.

Great stay at this historical property in an amazing location! Most of downtown Dubuque is within walking distance as is the riverfront, casino, and museums. Wonderful huge room with river views in addition to spacious fitness center and fun bar on site. Will stay here again in future.

The property is beautiful, rooms were clean, and the staff were great! Good location. Drink prices in the bar were very reasonable as well. The only ding was the food at the restaurant - it was not the best. I would definitely stay again if ever in Dubuque, just maybe look elsewhere to have dinner and breakfast.

We like old hotels and the Julian is elegant. . The staff was very helpful. We missed not having coffee offered in the lobby. We missed not having 2 chairs in the room but they brought another when we requested it. Temperature in the room was difficult to control. Overall stay was pleasant.

The location was great. We loved the historical aspect of this hotel. Our room was warm. When we attempted to lower the thermostat it only kept getting warmer. By the time we left the room was 75 degrees which is not ideal sleeping temperature.
