The Antlers, a Wyndham Hotel

It’s downtown Colorado Springs with a nice property that has Mountain View’s. The restaurant onsite is excellent and there is a large bar next to the restaurant.

It appears to be a grand old hotel that lost its shine, and a corporation tried to bring it back. Unfortunately I don’t think the renovation effort worked. First, while the lobby looks sumptuous, the elevators are slow and the rooms are small and dark with a shower like a coat closet. The WiFi bandwidth and service were poor; I had to go to my phone hotspot because the hotel network would not support VPN for work, and on a personal device I could not reliably play a video. The restaurant and bar look great, but at breakfast my pancakes, syrup, and bacon were cold - as if they just pulled them from the buffet to make a plate. Overall while the location is great and central to the city center, I doubt I’ll stay there again unless it’s with a group booking and I don’t have any other options.

The entrepreneurial experience was top notch. I would however, like to especially call out the amazing experience at the bar in the lobby. Both nights we went to the bar the service from the bartenders Gina and Sara was amazing. They were both very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommended this hotel on that experience alone, but the entire staff we interacted with from the front desk to the antlers grill was just amazing.

Keys for room had to be replaced laced every day. Air conditioning broke. Took almost two hours late at night to get room access. Inconvenience offer free breakfast. Worst experience ever at Antlers. Property and staff has gotten worse every visit 3rd time in a row decline in service

Stayed at The Anthers Hotel for three nights. The location is excellent, with easy walking access to downtown restaurants and stores. The room was clean but smaller than expected. Parking costs $19 per day, which feels expensive relative to the overall stay cost. The paid breakfast buffet was disappointing, offering very limited or no vegetarian options. The mini-mart freezer was not working, which we discovered only after purchasing spoiled items, though the vendor promptly refunded the amount. Overall, the experience did not feel like good value for money. For my next trip, I will consider a different hotel in a similar location.

My concern was that the pillow cases smelled. I just used one pillow that didn't smell. I didn't ask for clean ones because we were barely in the room, which was cozy, on the small side. Amenities were standard. The air conditioner in the room is loud and the elevators may need to be replaced soon. I did get charged an extra $50 at the hotel for "incidentals" after my room was paid in full, which I still don't understand. Maybe it's to repair the place? Overall, the staff are what really made my stay a good one. I didn't get breakfast because we had to pay for it. Other hotels charge about the same or less and have complimentary breakfast. Again, we stayed here because the wedding venue was here.

Beautiful property and in a great part of town for walking to restaurants. Safe neighborhood. Great experience.

Staff were great. We did receive an upgraded corner room with a balcony which was amazing. Hotel is older. Hot tub was down. Air conditioning was struggling. Location was good.

We really enjoyed staying at The Antlers. Everyone was helpful and kind. The views from the room were amazing!

Unique property as it is older but kept up. Some of the furniture was well used but still functional, added character for the vintage vibe. Staff was wonderful and very helpful. Did not try the onsite restaurant, very walkable to other restaurants and some shopping. Beautiful views of the mountains. Would stay there again.

Nice hotel in good location. Walls were a little thin and the noise bled through from hallway. Air conditioning helped to mute that however. Bedding was lux and slept well. Friendly staff and Starbucks on site was a bonus. Would stay here again.

One elevator down causing overcrowding and grumpy guests on the working ones. Staff was excellent

Homeless camped-out on the property! Not enough employees working… perhaps because they are drugged-out and camped-out on the property.

The bed was uncomfortable. The restaurant was severely understaffed.

The Staff was very helpful and pleasant, food was good, lobby was nicely decorated and very well air conditioned, valet parking worked well and was a reasonable price. TV sound did not work but after I notified the front desk thye sent up an engineer and after she reset everything it worked fine. Room 1204 - The air conditioning is a joke. When we got to the room the thermostat was set to 64 so room should be very cold right?? It was probably about 75 and the sunshade was pulled down. Turning the thermostat down did not make any difference in cooling. The front desk sent up an engineer and she looked at everything and said the cooling was working as good as it could because the east facing large window helped to make the room hotter. She also said the fan was only wired on one speed-high so it was not adjustable and neither was the fan vibration. She said this was a common complaint with the rooms. The bathroom was cozy and the shower was very stained and chipped. There is peeling paint on the doors and the sink did drain eventually. There are alot of cosmetic issues that need to be addressed. The Antlers was built in 1967 and is in need of a very serious refurbishment.

The hotel was great…exceeded our expectation! Perfect location and the staff was wonderful!!!

There was no room service. You had to go to the bar or restaurant during their hours to get food.

Classy place in a very convenient location.

we were next door to Pikes Peak Center so we walked there for the show. The staff were helpful and friendly. The elevators were fast. The window seat in our room was great. that we had to pay $25.00 for parking, no microwave in our room, the outside pool was closed. The $16.00 buffet breakfast was not much more than a La Quinta stay. There was no warm syrup for the pancakes, I went into the waiters station and filled it, & it wasn't even warm. No coffee, or hot water in the pots. The juice was watered down, only a couple of yogurts & you had to scrape the bottom of the bowls for fresh fruit that sat in melted ice. Had to wait for plates to serve ourselves..... $50.00 for 3 people! NOT WORTH IT! THE DRURY does a 6 star breakfast compared to this hotel.
