La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Carlsbad

Check-in was long even with online pre check the night before. Check out was frustrating because we requested for a late departure online. It just said pending even after housekeeping knocked and we rushed to check out on time. 30 minutes after we were on the road they finally emailed me saying it was denied.

We were pleased staying in this hotel, well-maintained and clean! Our room was clean and spacious. Check-in was easy, the whole staff was extremely helpful, amazing and knowledgeable. Hot breakfast is served daily with lots of options. The only thing that I was a little concern was the cleanliness of the pool. Water has awful smell, lots of algae on the wall and it seems they don't clean it the way it supposed to be(?) but we definitely will stay here again for our upcoming trip to Carlsbad, NM.

Door from the room was broken, stayed a whole week never had my room services.

Had a great stay here. Clean and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast. Close to Carlsbad Caverns NP. Had a water bottle filling area. Would stay here again if in the area. Highly recommended.

This place is a good pick if you are visiting the caverns. It's a good value and the caverns are South of town. This hotel is on the South side of town. We saw this very industrious staff worker cleaning and maintaining everywhere. The temperature got to be 110 degrees so the pool was quite refreshing.

Breakfast needs improvement no variety very very basic not like mentioned on post ..there was hard time getting someone in front desk had to be waiting every time noone present ..I stayed multiple nights service never went to clean or ask if anything was needed and again front desk always alone so didnt want to waste time waiting for someone to say I needed fresh towels

Put up a sign at the breakfast door stating it's close so people would know not to open the sliding doors. Over all outstanding job Rob

The property was conveniently located while visiting Carlsbad Caverns. Beds were comfortable, the room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast staff were efficient, helpful, and caring. Really nice hotel stay.

The room was comfortable the pool wasn't the cleanest

Room was decently clean but carpet a tad dirty near the bed, otherwise just fine. Breakfast was good, a big spread of eggs, bacon/sausage, waffles and cereal. They had gluten free individually packaged bread which was great to see.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, and continental breakfast. Loved that this was a pet friendly hotel and was still clean and smelled fresh all throughout the hotel. Felt very secure with lots of bright lights in parking lot. Easy access to main road and several near by restaurants. This hotel houses lots of out of town oil field workers. Including their large trucks, who unfortunately take up the prime parking spots fairly early in the evening.

Disappointing

Pool heater turned up too hot, especially on the days that were 100+ degrees. Rooms are starting to show lots of wear and tear. Staff very friendly.

Pool wasnt heated at least didnt seem like it, it was very cold

The bathrooms were in disrepair. We had 2 rooms: 1 had toilet leaking from base,tile coming up, missing grout and mold. The other room's toilet seat was falling off.
