MainStay Suites Bloomington near University

The room was very clean. The toilet needed some maintenance. Staff was great. I guess overall it was a very good stay.

First off the staff was AMAZING, he helped me when needed a first floor room, and then there were problems with the tvs not working so he helped me move myself and kids to a different room. He made sure we had all the stuff we needed for our stay and was very helpful and kind. However the pool was closed, he said they had it listed on their website, it was not and that was disappointing as my kids were looking forward to swimming. Most of the room was clean, however the microwave and stove top had food on them. The room overall was great sized and everything else was great. I would definitely stay again just for the size of the room and the amenities in the room for a family. The hotel was conveniently located and I liked the access to the restaurants. Overall I would give this hotel a B rating. I was happy with my stay.

No pool, No breakfast. No sheets for the sofa bed. Missing half of the utensils in the kitchen. Netflix/Internet TV wasn’t working. And they wouldn’t refund any of my money…

I would not recommend staying at this location. Amenities including elevator & air conditioning were out of order, room was filthy, items in room were missing or broken, complex was in disrepair, strong odors were present, & mold & bugs were witnessed. Left the hotel after reporting unacceptable conditions to staff. In the process of requesting refund from Hotels.com.

Sadly I managed a hotel so my expectations are higher than most. Some hair on bathroom floor behind door. Fridge shelves had a few crumbs on it. Floor could of been vacuumed better. Overall for some review on other hotels I passed to come here was top notch. Will return when I'm in the area.

It was an excellent location. It was very close to everything we wanted to do in Bloomington. The staff were very kind. Our actual room was very comfortable and clean. The whole building is old and outdated. And the hallways didn’t smell great.

It was in Bloomington For the inflated prices over college graduation it was what we expected. Usually when one spends $650 a night the hotel has at least 4 stars….

until I came back inside the building over 40 minutes later for them to tell me all of a sudden they had an available room, the same exact type of room I booked online prior to coming. The lack of help, concern or initiative to solve this matter from the front desk, staff was truly unprofessional to deal with
